Look at this before and after photo for the "Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes!" mascara mentioned in the previous post! Wow, I wonder if it's reallly that good.

Yours comes off with water??

What are other people's experiences? Mine stays on at waterparks!!

Made the changes. :thumbsup2

I went to the eye doctor today and he dialated my eyes with all kinds of drops that make me cry a river (if there are typos it is because I can barely see they are still dialated) anyway one thing I do know my Too Faced Mascara stayed in place no problemo. I had to buy eye makeup remover to get it off whereas before I just used soap and wather with my other mascaras. I did not buy the water proof type either.

I didn't know you could return stuff at Sephora after you open it- that's good to know. I wonder what they do with the stuff that has been opened after its returned?:confused3

I'm mainly looking for eyeshadows/lip glosses. I'm not 100% happy with the Bare Essentials, I almost feel like its not good enough coverage but maybe I'm putting it on wrong?:confused3 I have VERY fair skin so its hard for me to pick what colors would look nice. Also- when I'm in the heat my face gets super red so I wonder if there is a foundation that could help that problem?

If I were you I would go to beautycrunch and check out the Stila shadows. I had not used them before I got them there and I do really love them. Ilike them better than mac, smashbox, and too faced.

Sorry I don't have any suggestions!! I love a good red lipstick on other people but I don't think it would look good me, I definitely don't have the guts to try it out!! I'm sure you will look gorgeous with whatever you pick!!

Try the Mac I have a few varieties of red (not sure of the names) from them and they seem to be red without being clown red. I have dark hair so only certain reds look good. I like a true red with no blue in it. As I read this I realize it is very little help so when I get a chance I will try and find the names of the colors. I do like mac lipstick.

Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays - A Lesson In Lashes

In his makeup kit, Nathan has both drugstore brands and higher end brands. "If you understand proper application, you can make a $6 tube work as well as a $30 tube. Two of Nathan's favorites are L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (less than $10 at most drugstores or at http://www.drugstore.com/) and Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! ($18 at http://tartecosmetics.com/)

I used this for years before you girls talked me into getting the Lash Injection. I just got the Lash Injection on my Disneyland trip a couple of weeks ago, so I'm still a new user, but I think it is WAY better than the L'Oreal product I was using. My lashes look better, and i think it's easier to apply. It is smoother, if that makes sense. When I put the brush on my lashes and wiggle it and then try to pull it up through the lashes, the Lash Injection is so much smoother doing that. The Voluminous was harder to pull through.

Also, I'm not using a primer on my lashes, so that isn't causing it to be easy to wash off. I was afraid of that when I got it, because I just wash off all my makeup with my cleanser, not makeup remover. But it was just as easy as my other mascara, not waterproof.

I placed my first Sephora online order last week and am anxiously waiting for my order! I got more Lash Injection, a set of 5 eyeliners and a set of 10 lipglosses!

I haven't read a single post in the thread (not even the OP). Just thought I'd drop in to say that "Monistat-y Goodness" seems like an oxymoron to me.

Good, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Im telling you - I think it's Kim's base coat somehow making it come right off. Cuz mine is like cement.

I agree. This would be a great start (and cheap) Stila shadow is nice!

I'm so glad you like the Lash INjection, too.
10 LIPGLOSSES FROM SEPHORA!!! :eek::lovestruc

Then you must read the posts to find out why we'd think Monistat-y Goodness is a good thing! :thumbsup2

I LOVE MONISTAT AND I SLATHER IT ALL OVER MY FACE!

I'm thinking "Ew." :rotfl: But I know there has to be a reason. :) I'll have to actually READ the thread, lol.

Wow! I'm slightly intimidated by those instructions for applying mascara.

Yesterday, at TJMaxx I found a Two Faded Decade of Glamour makeup kit for $10.:yay: It has several glosses and lip sticks, a couple of bronzers, a blush, eight eyeshadow colors, lip injection, eyeliner pencil, and the lash injection! Everything is in tiny sizes, but I figure it's a great way to try it all out. I thought of ya'll when I was buying it.

I love that adorable pink polish from OPI. Maybe that will be my first purchase at the Ulta grand opening.

For red lipstick, I've been wearing Clinique's Angel Red since my wedding 10 years ago. It's my go-to red lipstick. I like it because it's not too bright and it looks good with my fair (pale) complexion.

Have you tried www.everydayminerals.com , yet? You should. You can get a free sample to compare it to BE. Get like Semi-Matte, or even Matte or Intensive for more more coverage.

I wonder if Monistat - with a better coverage mineral makeup - would curb your redness. :confused3

I'm a lipgloss junkie and don't have much loyalty to them - can anyone else help out?

I love the Smashbox lip glosses. Lovely colors and not too sticky.

I have only tried one Smashbox product and it was the gel eyeliner pot - and I SO disliked it, so it turned me off from that brand. I'll have to check out their lipglosses though. Like I said... I'm a lipgloss floozie.

MEANINGFUL BEAUTY: http://www.meaningfulbeauty.com/ Has anyone tried this? Every time the infomerical is on, I'm mesmerized. I want my skin to stay preserved like a French Melon.

Any feedback on this stuff. The price is certainly good. $30 for the whole set. The only thing I hate is the 'club' you then join. Like ProActive. I'm BAD about canceling and I usually never use up one of the products - so I end up with too much stuff.

Anyone? :confused3

I have never been a Smashbox fan.....I tried them once years and years ago - gosh, it has to be at least 10 years now. I bought a set of stuff when the Factor guys were on QVC or something. I did not like the quality at all - like maybe they just stole their daddy's formulas and renamed them. I have never been a Max Factor fan either - tried a couple of things many years ago and have never gone back. Sorry Factor family!

I'm loving the monistat for my face. I have rosacea so I was kind of worried that it would make it flare up, but so far so good! My BE goes on nicely over it. My DD with much hesitation ;) decided to try it and loves that it makes her face feel smooth. However, I'm not sure she'll be telling her friends she smears monistat on her face.:rolleyes1:lmao:

Ashley you were asking about a mineral foundation with a little more coverage. I have to agree that BE doesn't cover really well especially when my face is red. I use Physician Formula mineral powder. I find it is gentle and has more coverage when I need it. I sometimes mix it with my BE foundation to help it cover better.

I'm looking for a good eyeliner for a my dd14. I can't find one that doesn't make her look like Rickey Raccoon by the end of the day. It has to go on smooth, make a thin line, and stay on power but easy to wash off.

Cathryn I love smashbox lipglosses. Costco had a pack a while back that had I think 10 different ones. They were great but my go to, must have lipgloss is still Buxom! puckerup:

I'm heading over to Ulta today with my 20% coupon, I hope they have what I want in stock.

They're owned by the Factor family? I did not know this.

I always got a kick out of watching I Love Lucy, and at the end in the credits it says: Makeup - Max Factor :)

.

Can she handle liquid liner? (like MAC's Fluidline, or Stila Smudge Pots?) If she can - this would be her absolute best bet. It stays put - and with a nice thin brush, she could get a very thin nice line. Inmaybe a grey - or a bronze. Nothing too harsh.

I remember years and years ago (like 20), I was a huge fan of Loreal's eye pencil. It was the only one (back then, for me) that went on nice, and stayed. But I dont even know if they make them anymore. That real long one?

Thought you girls would like to know that I just got a Sephora email - 15% off everything online and in the store. Kinda a lame discount, but it's something. :)
