So what do you ladies use to keep your making looking fresh all day?

It seems I always look fresh and made up when I go into work but by 8hrs I look like I've worked 16hrs! My make-up no longer is covering what it's suppose to be covering... and I'm always have to clean up the make-up under my eyes.

I never do a middle of the day touch up because I really don't know what to touch up with since I use foundation and I don't want it to be cakey or be a different color since it's going on fresh again. YWIM?

I alternate between Mac Studio Tech in the compact and Mac Studio Fix Fluid.

But I usually only get about 6-8 hrs coverage depending on the temp LOL and I usually work 12 to 16 hours.

RB,

Have you tried going to Sephora and asking the make up artist there? I had the same problem with my nose. I never break out and then I just started breaking out on my nose. I hated it I finally decided to use some antibacterial soap (ONLY on my nose). What can I say it worked. I usually wash my face with Cetephil and backing soda to exfoliate but I have been careful to use something a little stronger on my nose.

I have been using Cetaphil, but that just seemed to make things worse. I think it dried out my skin. I went to Ulta and asked the make up artist, and started using Bare Minerals which seemed to really work for awhile, but now even if I use that after 2 hours my face is oily again

I use Bare Minerals foundation and put some to cover under eye circles. Whenever I use it, I find that my black eyeliner (bottom lashes) will run like crazy! What could I do to prevent that?

Also, could anybody recommend a good translucent powder? I never looked into it. Will it help control the oil from having foundation on all day?

Thanks!

Are you sure it's the eyeliner, and not your mascara? Which brand are you using of both?

Do you use a makeup primer, before your bareminerals? Or an eyeshadow primer (that you can smudge underneath your eye, to eliminate that?)

I don't use translucent powder. I use Everyday Minerals. That's it.

I use a makeup base - the Monistat we keep mentioning.

That Urban Decay spray stuff locks it in place pretty good, too.

I use Clinique High Definition mascara and right now I use L'Oreal kohl pencils. Next time I'm at the mall, I'm thinking of getting MAC Powerpoint. I don't put mascara on my bottom lid, though. I never used a makeup primer but that sounds like it would help.

So that's what Monistat is. I'm gonna see if I can find some around here...

I just read the link that you provided on the first page. If I can't find it I guess I'll order it from Amazon. :)

Its the monistat chafing cream. Love that stuff!

I got the urban decay 15th anniversary palette today! Anyone want to see it when I bust it out tomorrow? The colors in it are great.

Hellllllllll yeah! :yay:

Just bought and used the Monistat gel yesterday. WOW! My make-up looked great hours later and it helped my pores look smaller. Now I have to go back and read this whole thread, I bet there are tons more great tips. Monistat on my face! Never, ever would have guessed that one.

IN. LOVE. :lovestruc

Have you tried this? I have a problem picking mascara because I always pick the wrong ones. This is the perfect one...doesn't clump and separates!

On a side note, been spending a lot of time in the pool and my hair is suffering. Frizzy. Dry. Help. Please.

I love that stuff. We just came back from a vacation at the beach in South Florida and at the end of a day in the hot sun and wind, my makeup still looked fresh (yes, I wear makeup at the beach). The trick is to spray it on liberally until your entire face feels moist.

I am new to this thread.
I admit I have been using Wen and love it...but after reading thru some of the posts (I did a search on Wen and pulled up a few on co-washing in this thread)...I am thinking there is a better CHEAPER alternative. To those who do this what are you using to co-wash? Do you do it similar to the way you wash with Wen.

Thanks!

Ordered the everyday minerals foundationb samples, after reading how ppl loved it on here. Can't wait to try it, hope my sensitive skin does ok with it. Will post back my results :)
