I am anxiously awaiting the 2017 European announcements and wondering what options we'll have.

I'd like to see another British Isles option and would love to see Scotland to Iceland (that'll never happen though) and Norway was amazing(!!!) but did it in 2015.

After the overhaul of the Greek Isles itinerary in 2016 I'm wondering if we'll see more of Norway/BI or will the Magic go back to the routine 7 night Med Cruises they do as a repeat?

We're hoping for at least 9 nights and I can't even imagine what our options will be..what do you think?

I'm "Wonder"ing the same because it looks like the Magic and the Wonder are at an impasse with April 20/30 cruises being the last ones. I think DCL is waiting as long as possible to see what happens with the Canal, to be honest. The PC cruise usually leaves May 1, so it may be that they are thinking of sending the Magic through and having the newly reimagined Wonder do the European circuit.

Totally conjecture though, I don't have inside info, just something I noticed.

Yes, let's start a good rumors and speculation thread.

I guess no Greek Isles for 2017.

I am hoping for Asia but that won't happen :-(

I hope there are fewer 12 night cruises and more Baltic sailings next year. I can only sail in June, and most of 2016 is 12 night cruises which are too long for us.

I agree that the Greek Isles are probably out. I was checking cruise fish and there has been a price drop below opening day in at least one category. I would be curious to see how many people who booked British Isles opening day kept their reservations, and how that will impact 2017 pricing. I don't believe an increase on the scale of last year is in the cards, but they've surprised me before!

Do u think they will do any new places in Europe ?

Surely there will be a few Baltic cruises, did this years not sell out

I never considered that they may send the Wonder to Europe in 2017 but it's a great guess.

I just hope they don't play it safe with months of the traditional 7 night Med cruises. It looks to me that the 12 night for 2016 has kind of turned into a tour of France. So, that "special" cruise kind of lost some of it's appeal. (Though if I chose between the 2 -12 nights offered, I would have picked BI). I don't know about Baltic cruises as I've heard that Russia may not be the best place to visit right now.

I was hoping they'd release in February. I wonder how long they can string this along?

I so wanted to do the Iceland Cruise with Norway, but couldn't because we couldn't get the holiday off from work. I'd love to see it. C'mon Scotland to Norway 2017!

Oh, here's one I would love... I wonder if they will have the PC cruise stop at CC this year. I'd be sold then.

It's annoying that they are waiting so long to let out the April/May schedule for the Magic/Wonder. Anyone have some port schedules we can troll to get ideas of where they might be thinking of going?

I brought the same theory about the Wonder going to Europe and Magic to Alaska and was told it won't happen. Was told the Wonder was cold weather treated so only she gets the Alaska route. I have no idea if this is true or not but am hoping the Magic cones to the west coast so we can try her.

I've heard the same. That being said, if they brought the cold weather Cove Cafe Wonder to do Iceland or the colder countries up there, it would be new AND a good use of the ship's amenities.

I completely agree and I would be thrilled beyond belief. We're doing a Mediterranean on CCL's new Vista this year and I do t want to go back in 2017 so I would love to see the Magic in Alaska or Mexican Riviera.

I'm still kicking myself for canceling the Mexican Riviera cruise I had booked this October on DCL because youngest wasn't 3 yet. Should have gone anyway :)

I poked around a bit and found two dates that are interesting:

The 2017 calendar for Geiranger has one date where the ship is "TBC", that is June 8, 2017: http://www.stranda-hamnevesen.no/cruise-calls

The 2017 calendar for Bergen has a ship on June 9, 2017 that has the same specifications as the Magic: http://www.cruise-norway.no/Arrivals.aspx?ports=8&zone=8&start=09.06.17&end=09.06.17

All the previous 7-night Norway cruises had Geiranger followed by Bergen. So, I guess there might be one Norway cruise in June 2017.

So excited to see this thread!!!!!! We had said this summer was our last European Disney cruise, but then again, if they come out with something really great, we might have to go one more time!!!

We bought a placeholder on our 1/11-1/15/16 cruise because we are waiting to see the full 2017 schedule. We were told to expect the next dates to be released in mid-March.

We also bought a placeholder on our recent Jan 10 cruise. As a platinum we should expect to get an email in March. We have been on the Baltic, two med, Greece, norway, Alaska, Mexico. We are hoping it's somewhere good!

Oh I hope they sail to Norway later in the summer! We can't sail until late June.

There's no reason the Magic can't sail to Alaska - even without an enclosed viewing area like the Wonder has. However, with the last scheduled cruise on the Magic ending in San Juan on May 7, that's a week later than the Panama Canal cruise departure in May 2016. The Wonder's last scheduled cruise ends in Port Canaveral on April 23. DCL could add another cruise in the Caribbean region after that, but regardless - I think the Wonder will continue to do the Panama Canal and Alaska cruises in 2017.
