The Maelstromers... a FASTPASS!

OMG Jamal, those photos are soooo funny!

When were they taken? Cause it looks like they are Maelstromers diggin the Fastpasses.

Just last week, LaLa!! Oh yeah, we were stoked with our FastPasses!!!

The funny thing (we saw over and over and over but it was somehow funnier at Maelstrom) was the FPs were 30 mins or so away and the wait was 30 mins.

Lala--We are going to be at Disney at the same time. What night are you guys doing the Mnsshp? I'm trying to convince my sis and her gang to dress up. But they are not very outgoing. So as far as I have gotten is going as a basketball team. So if you see 5 b-ball players and 1 Cinderella, say hi! Or give the not so secret yell.

I think the 5th of October. Not set in stone yet though.

Well, speaking of costumes, I have got an awesome costume idea if you wanna hear it. I am only telling it to all the Maelstromers because I am firmly in touch with reality and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I could never get DH to agree to doing it. Plus the kids all want their own costumes. You know, princesses and Power Rangers.

Last year at MNSSHP, we saw the absolute coolest costumes ever. There was a group of about 6 or 7 people and they were all Fastpasses.

Ya get where this is headed?

Only they were Splash Mountain fastpasses. They just took 2 pieces of posterboard and connected it over the shoulders. They took an actual fastpass and copied it onto the posterboard, front and back. It was really cool and they drew a huge crowd everywhere they went.

Now......what other cool ride have we all been obsessing over?

Oh yes, that's right. Maelstrom. You could be Maelstrom Fastpasses. How cool would that be? Then you could come back here and post your pictures and we could all live through you.

Should we tell the kids or should be just drive down and let them figure out where we're going when we pass under the arches? I don't know if we could swing it, but that would be very, very cool.

LaLa, we just went down a few weeks ago and didn't tell the girls til we were in the terminal. It was a weekend trip for their first double digit birthday. They had never been on a plane before and didn't even know you had to have a plane ticket to get through security. We told them my wife was going on a business trip. Needless to say they were thrilled and we loved the look on their faces. I vote for holding out on them!!

Sorry I missed it. I'm sure it was fun. Went out to eat with the family tonight. Came home, did some laundry. Then I had to watch Lost. I'm soooooo addicted to that show. And each one only leaves me with more questions.

Okay, the busses. Well, I ain't gonna lie. It's not pretty. I'm strictly speaking after fireworks here. Any other time you should be just fine. You just have to be patient and understand that you will get there. Some nights are a breeze after fireworks, but then there are others.....which reminds me... I really need to be working on my trip report. Here's a little teaser....EMH nights at Epcot. Avoid them like the plague.

AshClan -- Wow! Very very close by. Ever been to the Grog in Newburyport? Not sure if it's even there anymore. Loved it! How about the Portsmouth Gaslight Company? Used to work there, in another life.

Nope...been to several places in Newburyport (love it there!) but never the Grog. Not familiar with the Portsmouth Gaslight Company. If you've ever been to the Topsfield fair, you've been very close to my house!!

So, is there going to be a chat tonight? I was out last night, but may be around tonight, depending on how much homework the kids have. Pongoperdi, I spent last night talking weddings with a couple of coworkers. Our office manager's last day is today....she's getting married in June and moving to LONDON! (Getting married in Rhode Island, tho.) I wanted to tell her about my "friend" and her beautiful gown!

I want a fastpass to the chat, but can't swing the times - baths and bedtimes, ya know. Now if you wanted to chat at @ 10:30 . . .

I'm going to be so out of the loop, dagummit!

Is anyone else's child a medicine hound? My not-quite-2 yr old loves it - the effect of being so often medicated at his young age, but at least I don't have to fight him at medicine time. Bronchitis, again. Some kids scream for candy, mine screams for medicine and vitamins! Lil' freaky boy.

Does everyone think October 5 (Thursday) will be A LOT better for MNSSHP than October 6 (Friday)? The 6th is our last night, and I just thought it would be a wonderful way to end the trip, plus we have to change resorts for that last night, so not going to a park in the morning would work better for us on Friday than Thursday. What does everyone think? I still haven't decided on costumes, but I'm sure it will revolve around whatever prissy thing the princess wants to be - I'm hoping to talk her into Tink, then brother can be Peter Pan and hubby and I can be pirates. Arrgh!

(Although I have lately been considering vikings for some reason. )

ETA: And MelonMom - with those numbers, POR is ABSOLUTELY the right decision. It is beautiful (we stayed at POFQ, but I know you need AB), and lush and quiet - you'll be perfectly happy there, especially as you sip your tea!
