Lala- I think you definitely answered your question the same way. Don't ya think it adds so much to the trip? the anticipation, the packing, the going over old pix yada, yada, yada.....Hey congrats, how fun, by the time you're done with this tr, it'll be ime for another! yippee yippe yipppppeeeee

Bipoly-I forgot to mention congrats on your trip too! I think you made a great choice staying at POR and extending the trip, given the new park tix cost what $1 more a day for 10 days. WooHoo! and go hang at the poly with all your free dining, or as zzub says, dinning, pts.

Em's mom- I hope someone can answer your quesiton. How devestating.

Grammy- We have a wild barn cat that I named Baby Kitty. She is the meanest cat we have! She finds her way into the house in the winter when it is too cold. She jumps on your lap, and snuggles, you pet her and love her and she purrs, then out of no where, she hisses, growls, bites and claws your hand to pieces. Bizarre psycho kitty, our baby kitty. But she has a home here forever, cuz she'd never make it anywhere else.....

Shipshillyscoopstip! I have had 2 cancellations today. Got so much caught up on at home, NOT. Just here...eeeeeeeeeew. I am at my computer too much and cannot shut myself up.

Well, you're still ahead of me. I don't think we're all that far apart in age, and I've YET to write a TR! Took notes and everything last year, but never did it. Maybe this year......

Oh, and I'm a fellow northerner, too. North of Boston....I'm really close to Maine, but closer, I think, to Delswife than to you.

We're supposed to get snow this afternoon! And I have a work event in town tonight. Yuck! (Plus I'll miss Pongo's chat.)

OMG!!! I thought I was the only one that called him that! DH's Aunt is a HUGE Barry fan...I have to really watch myself around her. Reminds me of the time when I was 12 and babysitting for the next door neighbor. We had a local 'Bozo the Clown' type show and the little girl I was babysitting for was on it one day. They didn't have cable so they all gathered at my house to watch her on TV. Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, the whole family. Well the show starts and Grandma asks 'what's the clown's name?' and I blurt out. "Happy the ****". OOPS! I mean "Happy the Hobo". Why I called him that at age 12, I don't know...heck I didn't even know what '****' meant. Guess that's what happens when you hang around older an older sibling!

kpk89 & jamal.. Welcome , don't be offended or hurt if no one answers your posts. As you can see this is a fast paced thread..it's hard to stay afloat but it's worth it!

LaLa - Congratulations on booking your trip. I would tell the kids. I don't think I would be able to hide a trip from my kids. Plus, counting down and all the anticipation of going to WDW is just as much fun.

Princess Aurora - I tivo'd the Travel Channel last night , can't wait to see your show.

em'smom - Not sure what to tell you, if she can't locate her confirmation numbers I have no idea what she can do. When she added the Disney dining plan did they cancel her ADR's and then she was suppose to make them again?

pongo - I love your wedding invitations. Where can I see pics of your dress and bridesmaids dresses?

Pongo... if you're interested in Niagara-on-the-Lake B&Bs or booking a hotel room at any of the Inns... I would look into it sooner than later. Because you will be into prime tourist season later and everything will be full. There's always places you can get in The Falls but the better places will be booked for sure.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Beach Club or the Pop?

My DS (12) really wants to stay at the Beach Club because of SAB but we really love the WL so we are thinking of doing a BC/WL split stay in July.

On our May trip will be a quick budget trip so we will probably stay at the Pop. Mark's quick trip proved to us that a quick trip can be fun.

Minnie- I stayed at Pop last year and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it, I wanted to stay there again this past December but they were all booked up. I recommend it!

Lala--We are going to be at Disney at the same time. What night are you guys doing the Mnsshp? I'm trying to convince my sis and her gang to dress up. But they are not very outgoing. Well, after taking the morning off to actually do something BESIDES lurk on the computer - I came back to BIG entertainment. Thanks - I needed that! (and don't call me Shirley, b/c I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue!)

Anyone agree with me that it is a stupid policy for the Peds office to only give out sick appointments on the day of so that when you call at 4:45 the day before they tell you to call back at 8:00 the next morning and then offer you an appointment at 8:30? Couldn't they tell me that the day before?

Em's Mom - hope the situation improves - when they couldn't find one of mine last year it was b/c two numbers in my phone number had been transposed - she might ask them to try to look it up by name instead - if she made changes it could easily happen. Like anything else, the best bet is usually to call back and talk to someone different until she finds someone who knows what they're doing. Or find her confirmation numbers, which I'm sure is what she is desparately trying to do . . .

LaLa - speaking of ADR's - made mine on Monday - got everything I wanted (except the Pixar/Toy Story breakfast that they still can't decide if they are doing or when it is going to start) TS includes: Akershus and O'Hana's breakfasts, dinners at Alfredo's, 50's PT, 1900 PF (for DD 4th b-day), Cali Grill, Le Cell and Crystal Palace the night of MNSSHP. We're going to the party on the 6th instead of the 5th - it's our last night there and I just really want the trip to end with something special. My mom is only joining us for part of the trip, but we have her dining plan for the entire trip, so had some extra points to play with. I'm going to be big as a cow.
Maxie's Mom - I think this means we'll all be there the same time? HAVE YOU JOINED MY LIST? If not - Git-R-Done!

kpk89 - all newcomers are loved (this goes for the other newcomers, too, even though I can't remember after 11 pages who everyone is!) One suggestion on the installment edits for the TR is to include a list in the first post about where EACH installment is instead of just the latest in the title - for us poor saps who slowly savor trip reports and sometimes forget to pop over there b/c we are too busy chatting over here. Yeah, I know it's a personal problem - help a girl out, 'kay?

horseypoo - do I pack heat? Not anymore - my munchkins think my purse is merely a toy receptacle, and I'm not into the ankle holster thing - it looks a little funny when you have on a suit, pantyhose and heels. Really, I don't feel unsafe very often - although I always take a step back in the grocery store when the stranger walks up to me (and usually the kids) and says "Do you remember me?" I've only had two or three ***real*** threats in 8 years - not a bad ratio. I'd like to start karate/tae kwon do as soon as both kids are old enough to start with me. Plus, then I might not be big as a cow.

Poly, melon, JEN - I am talking to you, as a ummmm mother figure, though I am much to young. YOU WILL BE FINE EVEN THOUGH YOU DO NOT STAY AT THE POLY. Yes, I love it, too. But I can stay at ASMovies and be happy. SAVE THE MONEY. IT MEANS ANOTHER TRIP. SAVE YOUR MONEY. All the people here that stay other places are happy as pigs in poop. Don't do it. You are a deluxe snob, but we love you anyway.

Breathe in and out. Save the money, not for college but for another trip. TRUST ME. I am older and wiser and must sometimes, I'll admit, use underwire.

Thanks all for the good wishes and advice.

I called for my sister because she was losing her mind and cursing up a storm. Turns out that she did misplace her ressie numbers, she even called her husband on the ship (he is in the Navy) hoping that he had a copy from when he put in his request for time off. No such luck. She had made her ressies through the wdw dine phone number and had been calling the DVC number hotline to confirm. They told her that they couldn't find her ressies but suggested she call wdw dine.

Long story short, ok not too short, they had her name misspelled. As she says it, her name sounds like the back door swinging shut. It is one of those names that has about 15 letters and only 1 or 2 vowels. THey did finally find her name and ressies by looking up her phone number. So, all is right in the world once again, they will have a great trip including wonderful dining experiences.
