Ok, lemme just say that today was BORING. For some reason my new boss thinks that having me sit next to her and watch her work at the speed of lightning is going to teach me anything.

Tomorrow I am going to suggest that she actually let me try to do something other than sit there and nod my head in all the right places. I won't learn a thing until I get down to doing the job.

You are not a geek. Some of "US" found you before this post. No matter how crazy and OT it is here, we all love those TR and are reading like crazy. That is how we ended up here.

Watching the Animal Kingdom show on Travel Channel, and what to my wondering eyes does appear....a "teaser" for the show (forget the name?) that Princess A is in....and there she is! Purple dress, red hair, crown....taking tater tots from some guy ("you gonna eat your tots?").

Pardon me for bringing this post out of the gutter... but here's the recipe. And really, you'd be surprised how kid-friendly it is. Wesley inhaled this the other day! (Of course, he eats some weird things, for a kid~artichokes, mushrooms, olives, greens, brussels sprouts...)

Black Bean Cream Cheese Chicken

This is so easy, and soooo good! It came from the Taste of Home's website/bulletin board. That's my other web "haunt". www.reimanpub.com Then click on BB, then on Recipes. Lots of fun people there, too! Never fear, it's not exactly like the Maelstromers...but then, is there anyone else exactly like the Maelstromers???

Black Bean Cream Cheese Chicken

4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (you can even use them frozen)
2 cans black beans
1 jar of your favorite salsa (16oz)
2 pkgs (8oz) cream cheese

Put chicken in bottom of slow cooker/crockpot. Pour salsa and beans over. Let cook on high for 4-5 hours (or on low all day). At the end of the cooking time, toss cream cheese on top, cover and let cook/sit for another 20-30 minutes. Stir, and serve.

We usually serve over rice. You can also add corn to the recipe, but we prefer it without.

LaLa, you and all the other free dining people are making me jealous! We have to go in November because we're working part of the week around the kid's having a couple of days off for Veteran's Day (and teacher development). Guess I'll just have to eat like a pauper.
