SNAP!!

Don't forget about Cape May buffet with all the great seafood, I haven't been there but I have seen it on the travel channel

Maelstrom

Ww were just at Cape May in Feb. I wouldn't suggest it as a 'great' seafood place. If you want a wide selection of seafood go elsewhere. From what I remember, cause I'm not a seafood lover unless it is battered in beer and deep fried with tartar sauce, the only seafood on the buffet was clams, mussels, salmon, and one other fish of some kind. Not alot of variety at all. My DH was disappointed as he is a lobster, crab, scallops fan and they didn't have any of those. I thought I had pics of the buffet but those were the breakfast buffet. sorry.

hey guys I have a convert to the maelstrom crowd, my 5 yr old nephew!

these are all from him:

:furious: :cheer2:    :lmao: :charac4: pooh: :earseek: :hmghost: :tigger: :mickeyjum :donald: :mickeybar :rainbow: :jumping1: party: :rockband: :bday: :moped:

Sorry all, this is what happens when you try to MAELSTROM and babysit at once. Have a good night all!

Does HorseGirl own a horse? Is his name Mr. Ed?

Hay grammy- check my siggie-you can see 5 of my lil' darlin's and a blip of the last. Lullaby the precious pony and our miniature horse, Rockaby, are in the foreground. None of them are ed. Grammy, I am so with you on the bikini thing.

Zzub-I will post you here and okay, I understand your feeling, as I never really went anywhere else at the coffee shop, so tonight I checked and I do understand that this would not appeal to everyone. I am glad that if someone disappears from here, they might be there.

shelby, rock stories please? like who else, etc?

momofmnm- great installment, I'm going back and give you a thumbs up now!

OK, here's the deal. Some of you know that I'm responsible for planning my family's trip to WDW in October. I have to make our ADRs next week, and I'm gettin' no help from the bunch of lollygaggers, so I told 'em I'm just gonna decide and they'll be STUCK with my choices.

Cuz I'm The Planner dadgummit!

Anyway, I don't have a lot of experience with WDW TS restaraunts, and in spite of my big bad talk, I really do want to choose good places. We are definitely doing dinner at the castle for my birthday. Erica wants sushi for her birthday dinner.

Anybody know where in The World we can get good sushi?

My BIL is a HUGE seafood fan...Coral Reef seems the logical choice...but is it any good?

I know I can post this over on the restaraunt thread, but I'm hoping ya'll will give me your 2 cents first.

We're a group of ten...no truly picky eaters, but the younguns aren't real adventurous yet. I'm assuming we can get chicken fingers at most places??

Thanks for indulging me...looking forward to hearing what you guys think.

DING DING DING!!!!!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

Snap, you posted the 1,000th post Girl! Mel, tell her what she gets for her prize....

Okay, I really am on here looking for tips on OFF SITE hotels bc there ain't nuthin left on site for week after next :guilty:

Are we nuts for even still considering going if it's gonna be that busy? Who has experience with Easter Week? Or (gasp) off site hotels?

Yes, ZZUB, we may end up being non resort rabble. :sad2:

Thanks, lala!

DIsney steve over on budget board raves about skyauction, where they post lasst minute orlando deals. he gets a 2 bedroom that he says is really nice for 250-300 for the week.

What am i? Chopped Liver???

Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, I'm gonna eat some worms.......

if you would like to try a buffet with plenty of choices for vegetarians, diet concious, health food conscious.....go for the gusto people and regular people and kids foods too if they dont' want the regular buffet and also the best dessert bar around.......go to Hollywood and Vine and try that out..delicious...

I have a dalmatian named Megara Athena .......and our first dal was Jasmine Rajha.......they are high maintenance and hyper as all get up..

have a good day

This is my nut of a dog

Nothing is wrong, really. I just have cleaning products up my nose is all. You know. The SUSPENSION thing. Cleaning is NOT my thing. I cook. Every day. Good stuff. Not poop. DH cleans. NOT me. Ick. Enough of this. I might go to bed now. Maybe.

Places to eat... dining plan or no?

Coarl Reef is fun, but not worth 2 credits (is it still two?) but fine if you are paying cash. We often go for a late lunch.

If you are on the dining plan then Flying Fish on the Boardwalk is hands down my favorite place for seafood, but ouch if you are paying cash. Also it is fine food, as in expensive and not huge portions. But OMG yummy.

Spoodles, also on the boardwalk is a great family friendly place. I think it was one of our best overall meals in WDW last trip.

I am not a Steak House gal, but someone else could chime in on those kinda places.

Le Cellier is a fantastic restaurant .....we love the soup and the breadsticks and the prime rib is excellent......last year we took our two grandkids there and they had the free range chicken and they said it was great...our gs loved the cheddar cheese soup and our granddaughter loved the ceasar salad .......heck I love it all......just as long as they start with the breadsticks
not one to try other seafood places as a Mainer I am used to fresh and the best.....YUMMY

lala:

how much do you get to go to WDW?? Is it often??

IMO I would NOT go if all rooms were booked, it will proabably be a mad house but I have no idea, that is just me. I know most would say go no matter what but the idea of having an at capacity park and no way to get in if it is full is not appealing to me. Could you wait til the week after by chance?? just some ideas to throw around...you can always check expedia to see hotels and amenities and all...consider maybe Nick hotel for the kids maybe?? I don't know, wish I could help ya!!!

Horsegirl: yeah I am pretty proud of this last one too, seems like I have found my grove and amd trying to streamline my thought pattern but it's hard... :rotfl2: Thank you, I need to get to yours but we had a tornado warning and my kids MADE me go to the basement :sad2:
I told them:
Dis or die tryin'...they did not understand and my dd5 finally admitted she has watched too much Wiz of Oz...

anyway safe and sound and back to Dis... LYMI

Tink had a drink. Tink is tired. Tink is going to bed now.

MAELSTROM!!
