I've changed my mind. I had planned to post and respond to trip reports here and Maelstrom over there. I vented my spleen and felt better but it quickly became apparent that the grass was not greener. Like Lala, I find the coffee is just a little too hot for me. I reckon this opens me up to charges of being a prude or whathaveyou. So be it. I'm just more comfortable in a G-rated world. I do like Disney World after all. Plus, I don't want to be embarassed when my wife or daughter looks at my computer screen if you know what I mean. As much as I enjoy reading what's going on with the likes of many of my cyber friends, I feel more comfortable here. I hope in time some of them will come back home.

ITA

guess I will start refering to you as Zzubie so that you can still feel loved RIGHT HERE!!!

Besides, even after three PM's I STILL can not find the place....so I'll stick to my home brewed Folgers....

Okay, DH is trying to get our tails a room at Disney for WEEK AFTER NEXT.

Gotta give up the seat.

Check back Lay-tah.

Oh, MEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLL, this one's for you

OMG!!!! Are you serious??????????????????/

YOU WON'T HAVE TIME TO PACK GIRLFRIEND!!! :lmao:

I checked out your WW site. Very inspiring! Congrats on such a great accomplishment!! :thumbsup2

Glad the triangle wasn't something I was missing. I thought it was kind of a "tag" for people who had posted something borderline, or had gotten a warning. I was feeling left out 'cuz I didn't have one! Glad I was just being clueless.........

Zzub, we love you here, and, honestly, as long as we can keep this one going, I don't feel the need to be jumpin all over the place! And, I too, was excited to hear about LaLa's impromptu trip. Maybe we can all live vicariously through her for a while!! :bounce:

As for the Zzubs: we're talking (just talking) about planning a late summer trip to the World. We need (now more than ever) a week of uninterupted family time. Wishes! and all that.

Woo Hoo!! So that would translate into a trip report to entertain us well into 2007? ;)

thank you for the kind words about WW too!! It makes my day!! I am trying to get back on track again but the carbs keep attacking me!! I am maintaining very well but not loosing much anymore!!!

LALA:
look, we all want another TR from you but come on now~~~ ;)

Okay, y'all. I crossed over to the DARK side, and it ain't that dark, after all. I read all 37 pages of dialogue and I wasn't offended at all. I AM from New Orleans, though, so that might count against me.

As some of you may know, I am off the rest of this week due to DS's suspension. (BTW, my house is SO CLEAN right now! We didn't do carpets today, though. We did laundry and dishes instead.) So I actually had TIME to catch up on the other thread AND stay focused here. I don't know if I'll be able to do that while at work and those d(oops - almost cursed)arned discharge planners keep calling me for schedules even though they JUST faxed me patient records 30 minutes prior to the phone call! Whew! Was that a runon sentence? Sorry.

While it WAS great to see posts from former DIS royalty, I just don't know if I can handle it all. I type with one hand, for goodness sakes.

On the other hand, if Mellymel has to go "over there" for good then I will HAVE to go both places. I cannot have a day without my Mellymel humour (the extra u is intentional).

Plus, who cannot love a forum that has a thread about a puppy eating his own poop??? There's a product for that, BTW. It's called Forbid. I worked at an animal hospital for 6 years. I know about these things. That reminds me - gotta go get a match and get a tick off my dog. What IS IT with the ticks in Mississippi??? Not to mention the hugenormous nightcrawler worms? Geez! Give me a roach any day over those stupid worms.

Nobody is hungry here, yet, so I ain't gonna slave over the microwave now.

LaaaaaaaaaLaaaaaa! I SO wanted to be tinkinadrink on that other coffee shop! Turns out I joined that forum in January. (I must have been in a drink, because the memory is very vague!)

First off. No fair. Week after next! I think that kinda time table would push me right off the edge of sanity. Really. Not sure I could do it, but you go girl!

Zzub, I am so glad to hear you are thinking about going this summer. You see my first trip to WDW was many years ago, lets not count that one. My second one was right around the same time your orginal TR speaks of. Then we BOTH went to Disneyland last year AND we BOTH went for the free food (some things I can not pass up). So I was thinking your thinking about going might somehow, in some strange way mean that we could think about going again soon. OK I am a freak.

But, but, but, you see we had a bit of a (major) health scare, Mr. Silly did, and we are really still in the middle of it. I am writing up an ER TR about it, so details will follow. So I was thinking this may be the year of no WDW for me, now I see a glimmer of hope.

But anyhow I am glad you are thinking about it. They don't call it the happiest place on earth for nothing. :grouphug:

Yikes, I think some of my great friends here may have got caught up in the literal Maelstrom that was created by the rapid influx.

Sometimes when noobs appear, folks get a bit more robust than they really are. Who wouldn't want to make friends with a gaggle of wayward Maelstromers that you likely have no clue how they got that way?

I think we will find just like the DMVC, there is always room for more coffee and you can be free to flavor it however you wish - no matter where you are refilling it from.

No matter what, I will always be sitting in the corner booth sipping my coffee (2 sugar, one half-n-half) saving a spot for you.
:cloud9:

oh and,

MAELSTROM!

URNNNGGG URNNNGGGG

This is a test of the emergency broadcast system in your area. Had this been an actual emergency you would be told to tune to your local emergency station. This is not an actual emergency. We now return to your regularly scheduled programming. I repeat. This is not an emergency.

Okey Dokey. I told you I type real SLOOOWWWW.

What happened to Java something something.. Do not change your name to protect the innocent. Update on the shirts please. Did they work? Am I lost? Can we just Tivo everything so I can watch in slow motion? Can I borrow Mel's cleaning lady? Do I need to drive to Canada and shoot a spit ball at a bully? Do I need a passport. Can I buy a Thin Mint cookie with a fast pass? These and other questions will be answered, next week, same time, same channel. Boom! Sock!

Is a Chesterfield a cigarette or not? Does anyone have a davenport? Does anyone even know what that is? How about a counterpane? I heard it was a bedspread. Is anyone dizzy? Do I drink a butter shot while riding Maelstrom? Does HorseGirl own a horse? Is his name Mr. Ed? Did Markie Mark and Rhonda go out to dinner?

LaLA - get a room!- and I mean that in the nicest way.

MOMOFMNM - I PM'd you with some info on Shades of Green.

pongoperdigirl - Do you own a Dalmation?

Wow - am I glad that is over. :smokin: :woohoo:

And now the question of the day - Would you take a medication that the side effects are both fainting and diarrehha (?) I need spell check. I just saw a commercial for this drug and my DD thought that was funny. :confused3

I still need an aspirin. This took 45 minutes to type. Gotta do dishes. My maid didn't come today.

Ok here's the deal. I logged on tonight to do 2 things...

1) Get caught up with my Maelstromers... OMG!!!

2) Post about the fact that I officially have the job and will start a couple of training days Tuesday.

Once I had that accomplished, I was going to finally get to print those tshirt designs on the transfer paper I bought.

BUt, I logged on and, and, and.... I need more coffee if I am going to get through all of this.

So, I'll post when I have the shirt stuff.

I'm pretty well done over there. I enjoyed the respite but it's a world I'm not completely comfortable in. This isn't a criticism or a judgment on the fine people who post there. We each have different levels of conviction. Like I've said, I didn't find Mel's discussion of the headboard at all offensive or even off color (or colour if you prefer). I still don't understand why that got deleted. I reckon my line is just beyond that. I'm a pretty meat and potatoes, white bread kind of guy (to wit: my love of the POR food court).

So Not A Princess: I'm done with my trip report. I may post again in a week or so to respond to some people who have posted there, but the report is done.

Horsegirl: don't post anything for me over there. I live here.

LaLa: I can't believe I'm writing this, but I am seriously jacked up that y'all are going to Disney World in a couple of weeks. Your family seems a lot like mine and I know I'll enjoy reading up on your adventure.

As for the Zzubs: we're talking (just talking) about planning a late summer trip to the World. We need (now more than ever) a week of uninterupted family time. Wishes! and all that.

MR Z

we will be there August 11 thru 20~~!!!!

I don't own a dalmatian but I collect the original 101 Dalmatian stuff
I just love them. I would love to own them but I don't think I could handle one, there are so highstrung. But my dog is high strung, have you seen her pictures???

oh yeah grammy thanks I gotta check that out

mousesavers right??

thanks soooo much!!

I knew I liked you.... ;)

javamom can't wait to hear about the JOB !!

OK, here's the deal. Some of you know that I'm responsible for planning my family's trip to WDW in October. I have to make our ADRs next week, and I'm gettin' no help from the bunch of lollygaggers, so I told 'em I'm just gonna decide and they'll be STUCK with my choices.

Cuz I'm The Planner dadgummit!

Anyway, I don't have a lot of experience with WDW TS restaraunts, and in spite of my big bad talk, I really do want to choose good places. We are definitely doing dinner at the castle for my birthday. Erica wants sushi for her birthday dinner.

Anybody know where in The World we can get good sushi?

My BIL is a HUGE seafood fan...Coral Reef seems the logical choice...but is it any good?

I know I can post this over on the restaraunt thread, but I'm hoping ya'll will give me your 2 cents first.

We're a group of ten...no truly picky eaters, but the younguns aren't real adventurous yet. I'm assuming we can get chicken fingers at most places??

Thanks for indulging me...looking forward to hearing what you guys think.

SNAP!!

Don't forget about Cape May buffet with all the great seafood, I haven't been there but I have seen it on the travel channel
