Good morning Maelstromers...
Anyone have any suggesstions for controlling 11 six year old girls??
My oldest DD (age 7) is going to be in a Lip Sync contest...with 10 of her friends. We have their routine all worked out but...man do they need practice. Now, trying to be the supportive mom that I am...I offered OUR house as a place to practice later today. (What was I THINKING?????)
They are Lip Syncing to Gwen Steffani...Hollaback girll...a song that I am not sure how Mel will feel about...
"It's Bananas! B

It is actually going to be quite cute...they are all going to dress up in cheerleading costumes and do a little cheer routine to the music. So, what's the problem?? Well, we had a practice at the school yesterday, not our first one...we've been practicing for weeks actually. Up until yesterday they were doing pretty well...but...yesterday it was like none of them cared.
I am usually a pretty fun, happy person, but yesterday I was pretty fed up with the whole thing. It was one of those situations where the other mom's...who have done next to nothing up to this point, wanted to help FIX what was wrong. Not sure about you guys, but I know that if I want my kids to do something...especially when in front of all their best friends...I cannot be the one to tell them to do it. It always works better when it comes from someone else....know what I mean? Anyway...we (my neighbor and I) decided to have a get together at my house today...I am just hoping I can get some of these girls to actually LISTEN today.....(we only have 2 weeks to preformance night and a few of the girls still need work on their moves...and they all need to work on the lip syncing part!! which is really weird...since they all know the song)
Thanks for listening Maelstromers...and any ideas you have would be GREATLY appreciated!!
