Sheridac- I think both reports are true. I called Disney about the Pop rooms and they confirmed. Now I really don't know what to do about a room request. I wanted to upgrade to preferred, but only if I can get a pool side room... I may just leave it up to Tinker Bell.

The dining snack info looks good too. I have found many websites all a chattering about the new purple dots, and somewhere someone had a photo. I think I gained a pound just reading about it.

I gave an exam today...noticed some folks that might have been cheating the last time I gave an exam, so I set a trap for them. The guy I think they were looking off of came in early to take the test, and then he sat in when everyone else was taking it and entered in bogus answers. I think we may have nailed a couple of them.

Muahahahahahaha

Priceless Mush!! :rotfl2:

Hey folks - y'all were talking about Neal Boortz earlier. I love istening to him. I am not totally on board with him all the time. But most of the time he makes a lot of sense (Yes I know I'm one of the few conservatives on here - so don't flame me).

Anyway, he was telling a story this morning that I thought y'all might find interesting. I did. I almost posted it on the Immigrant thread but I haven't gotten brave enough to dally into the other boards on here. Anyway here's the story from Neal's Nuze...

"I heard a tape of a news report broadcast on the Atlanta CBS-TV affiliate. The story was about the low turnout at the illegal alien rally in Atlanta this past Monday. According to the report the illegals in the community are concerned because of all of the "hatred" that is being aimed at them. They were afraid to show up at the rally because of all of this hatred.

Give me a break. They break our laws coming here. They break our laws staying here. The break our laws working here. Then they stage their rallies DEMANDING that we continue to allow them to violate our laws .. even DEMANDING that we grant them amnesty for violating our laws, and they they start screaming "hatred" when we object.

The reporter covering this story was Tony McNary. At one point in the report McNary reported:

"The Hispanic Political Action Committee says that hatred is on the airways on radio programs like the Neal Boortz show."

McNary then plays an audio clip from my program on Monday. You hear me saying: "Sadly, most Americans, and that includes those out there right now that are fed up with the illegal aliens in this country and their arrogant 'we are America' attitude ...." At this point a caller chimes in with "How 'bout we boycott all things Mexican on May 5th." And that is where McNary stops the audio clip of my show. He just dances right back in to the "hatred" thing.

Now .. .if McNary had wished to present the entire clip from my show the Channel 46 viewers would have heard me respond to the caller by saying that I did not support such a boycott because many of the owners of these Mexican restaurants and other businesses are citizens of this country and most are here legally. So why didn't McNary play the entire clip? Because it didn't fit into his "hatred" and "hate radio" theme. He approached this story with an agenda ... and to play my response to that caller's "boycott all things Mexican" comment wouldn't have promoted his agenda.

Gotta love it."

That friends is a funny story. And they say there's no liberal bias in media? huh?

(Let's see how many things I can start with this one!)

Blessings!

Caught by YAK :bitelip:

Oh man, did I post to that 'my husbands friend who knows someone who is the spouse of someone who is a teacher in California' thread? Is that the one? That is what got my blood boiling yesterday. I wrote up a lot of replies and chickened out without posting. Now I need to go see what I said. :rotfl:

I just posted to Dan Murphy's thread too :stir: . I am a bad bad girl. I break my own rules. Please don't tell the kids.

Haley, sweetheart, stop trolling on the immigration threads -- you're going to hurt yourself banging your head on your computer screen. Stay here where it's nice and safe, or, if you prefer, there's a nice cross stitching thread on the crafts board. BTW, did you know the answer to the Mexican Navy joke? It's an oldie. I PMed the german guy the punch line -- having grown up in the Southwest, I know them all ...

And get this - I haven't been to Boortz's site very often but found something extremely interesting that I am fairly certain you folks will love (it tripped me out). There's a link where you can share funny gas passing stories - its at the bottom of Neal's Nuze. Anyway, here' one from the collection. Oh my!

Granddad's Paradise
When I was a kid I would pass time with Granddad in the old barn he'd set up as a wood working shop. "Granddad's Paradise" as the sign on the door boasted. Later, in his twilight years when his hand-eye coordination deteriorated it became known as "Granddad's Random Amputation Center".

Anyway, in the old days, after a demanding day of farm labor and once again surviving Grandma's loving attempts at murder by means of lard-soaked starches, we'd retire to the shop to become one with the wood. The thing I remember most was the old Craftsman table saw... the centerpiece of the shop and his only power tool. At first it was the loud noise that frightened me, but that was soon replace with the dread of the gosh awful smell that nearly always followed. Neither seemed to bother Granddad, and you could tell by his smile that he loved that saw. Sometimes he would abruptly stop what he was doing, walk over and turn it on just to make a casual cut on a piece of wood. I thought this was strange given how meticulous he normally was about first measuring and defining a line.

Then one day he hurried over, threw the switch only to discover a split second too late that it was unplugged. The saw remained silent, but the barn rumbled with what sounded like someone quickly accelerating a Harley Davidson under a blanket... followed by the smell. He quickly cussed the old barn cat whose eyes were as big as mine, and also watering in self-defense, but I wasn't buying it. Cats are not design to contain such pressure without becoming a projectile, and Omar had never left the ground.

From that day forward I called it the old Crapsmans saw, and learned to step outside during cuts to unmeasured lumber. Maybe that's where the phrase "cut one" comes from... I don't know, but I miss the old fart.

HILARIOUS! I can so see it too.

And this one's too funny not to pass on!

My sister and I are both avid sale shoppers. We were in a department store looking at towels and pillows when this 'lady' was at our side wanting to be where we were but she didn't say anything just kept getting closer and closer till she was elbow to elbow with me. we left that section to check out housewares and talked about how rude she was. We had made a day out of being together, having lunch and then shopping. We had stopped and had mexican. As were leaving housewares I told my sister to hurry cause I had just let a SBD (silent but deadly), she said don't come my way cause she had let one too, I think it was the beans - we stiffled out giggles and went a couple isles over. Just as we started to look at whatever was on the shelves we hear "O my Lord" from where we just were. The 'lady' had walked into the bean cloud we left. We started laughing and couldn't stop. I'm sure she heard us but it was too funny to hold in. I would've felt worse but it was a kind of ironic justice.

Blessings!

This is exactly why I really like listening to him as well.
You're probably right about posting it elsewhere. Like Neal, your/his words would get twisted all out of context.

I'm Canadian and by listening to programs such as Boortz when I arrived in the US really opened up my eyes to the bias in the media! I thought the big three TV news broadcasts were the absolute truth in reporting before I came.
Let me tell you the news/opinions that people from other countries get regarding the US are sometimes vastly different than what is actually happening.

I like his disclaimer,

ALWAYS REMEMBER
Don't believe anything you read on this web page, or, for that matter, anything you hear on The Neal Boortz Show, unless it is consistent with what you already know to be true, or unless you have taken the time to research the matter to prove its accuracy to your satisfaction. This is known as "doing your homework."

Also, I can't believe I'm going to say this, but your politic's ROCK! Our's are soooooo boring!

I've just outed myself as a political geek!

Oh my Frickles - we are Sista's and live spooky parallel lives. I could have written this. I don't even mention you guys to DH - I think he'd have me committed. He doesn't get it. He doesn't really do computers - only at work when he has to. At least you can drive to the meet. It's a titch to far for me to drive - unless Mel would share in the task.

Too funny Yak...we really ARE meant to be sista's then aren't we!!! I have a free airline ticket...so that would help. One of my husband's employees gave us tix to anywhere on AirTran for Christmas by turning in a gazillion Wendy's cups during some promotion!!! It was sweet.

MarkyfartyMark....funny funny funny story! Mexican toots stink the worst too! (well, maybe not as bad as egg toots). I'm throwing up a little in my mouth right now.

Coming to GA's defense - I thought the same things.

Where do you see the purple dots?

On a particular site?

On the DISboards?

Are they like the green dots here?

Can you turn them off and lurk?

Chris needs to sing a different style?

Taylor rocks?

Also, what was the deal with POP?

I haven't booked yet, and going to and need all the help I can get?

Too many questions?

Not enough time?

Thanks?
