You guys crack me up, SNAP, sounds like a good date. It was impossible for me to really try to play since Mr. Silly knows all about this thread (and reads it still even if he never posts to it). We did come up with ways to fit it all in, but we were working as a team.

We ate at a Mongolian BBQ, so we had almost zero waitperson contact

We went to see a movie because all the live music this weekend was kinda lame. Oh well. We saw Vendetia. Kind of creepy dee in a good way.

We noticed something in the previews...

There was a preview that started out with some vaugely familuar music, and fast boats, and a scruffy guy in a sports jacket...

Mr. Silly looks over at me and says "this reminds me of Miami Vice" and then he points out all sorts of other details...

turns out it WAS Miami Vice,

the movie. Who knew.

Then a trailer for Superman.

Then one for A stranger Calls (... we traced the calls... they are comeing from INSIDE the house..)

And one for POTC II

So they were all remakes or a sequal. Never tell me Hollywood has run out of ideas...

Well, back from church to report that da Rev really is a talented preacher, even in the face of technical difficulties and a change-up in the natural order of things.

Yes, you can all go ahead and be jealous right now, as we conducted the first ever DIS Maelstrom meet. Face-to-face that is. All three of us (plus the kiddos.)

Rhonda, Mark and Wesley - you guys are just as sweet in person, I gotta say!

Maelstrom meets are a fastpass!

SNAP - I think you did a great job on date night. And congratulations (I think?) for dating a lawyer. Personally, that always broke one of my dating rules. No lawyers. No Cops. No one that is married. Not in that particular order. But, then, I violated my own dating rules and ended up marrying my husband. Only after I turned him down for a year, though. Persistence pays.

What can I say? He offered me a motorcycle helmet.

GACat...it was great to meet you and your little ones! Guys, they are even cuter in person than they are in her siggie pics! As a matter of fact, Wesley pouted all the way home because he "wanted Audrey to come play TODAY!"...ah, the life of a 4 year old.

Mark was a little distressed because the service was so crazy today. Our sound system is apparently shot, he forgot that we WERE NOT supposed to have Children's Church (Thanks a lot, Babe!), everyone went back to their Sunday school classes during the service, and I don't remember what else. Some of you may be interested to know that we started a new Sunday school class today for "children of the 80s". We talked about Ataris and Commodore 64s, among other things. I couldn't work in NKOTB or Journey though. Maybe next week. Oh, wait, next week Wesley and I will be at WDW!!

In other church news, Mark DID manage to work "Maelstrom" into his sermon. Just for GACat. I, of course, missed it, because I had to go handle children's church, which we weren't supposed to have. (Ahem!) He couldn't figure out a way to get "melons" in, though. We do have somewhat of a reputation to uphold. At church, anyway.

And now, dear friends, I have to go do laundry and pack. For my WDW trip. There is some speculation that Mark "forgot" about the children's church thing to get me back for going to WDW without him. Oh, well!

Remember In one of my previous posts I said men are visual creatures. A man can look at a womens toe and in a split second can describe every detail of the rest of her body. It is a scary gift but it is true! This gift has motivated men for years! Great rulers have risen and have also fallen because of this gift! Do not attempt to disect the minds and inner workings of men! There is no spice strong enough to get you through it!

Someone asked me a few days (?) ago if I was going to make the Oct meet. I am so bummed because I will miss it by ten freakin days! If only I could change the dates and get the free dining. But seeing how I am getting hooked up with a semi free trip to Wilderness Lodge, I love ya all but want the free stay at WL.
