The mad lady from Splash Mountain is on the Today Show

Anyone else feel bad for the other families in this picture?
That was my first thought! Now they've got this sourpuss (joke or not, she's not anyone I'd want hanging over my shoulder) who has dragged them all over the Internet (not intentionally, I know, but still). And they have to photoshop her out of their copies!

Are you kidding? They're calling/texting all their friends, "We're on the Today Show!" and posting the picture on their FaceBook pages. It may even make their Christmas card screeds...

they must have staged it because they speak of a baby...that would require rider swap anyway. Unless they were gonna stow it in the nets!

Sounds like it was totally staged from the article I just read...of course, said article referred also to the ride as "Splash Planet," even though they referred to her as "the Splash Mountain Lady" in the same sentence, sooo..... :rotfl:

I thought it was pretty funny. I don't think anyone else in the picture would think their photo is ruined - the only time I got upset was when I had a Photopass+ and some teenagers were on the same log as us. They did something that got the photos censored, so we never saw it.

I hope the other families got a do over. Without wasting a fastpass or a million minutes in standby. Maybe Disney could digital edit her out and put Grumpy in. That would be my choice.

Would not bother me if she was in my picture. I think it was just a joke between her and her husband.

I never knew that I was accountable to the other passengers in my ride vehicle for the expression I was making when the picture was taken. Thanks to the DIS Boards for clearing that up. :teeth:

Kidding aside, I totally plan on doing one of those "staged" pics next time I'm on Splash Mountain. I won't say what it is because I don't want my idea stolen.

On an unrelated question, is it possible to bring a bong into the parks? o_O

^That was a joke, by the way, in case no one got it.

Do you remember the craze where women were lifting their tops when the Splash picture was being taken? There was a website that published them and people voted on them, lol. Now THAT ruined a family photo.

I just read the FOX News article about it. I know that I'm an obsessive Disney fan, and also way too OCD, in that the first thing that jumped out at me is them referring to Disney World as "the happiest place on Earth."

"No," I screamed to no one in particular, "that's Disneyland! Disney World is the most magical place on Earth!"

Anyone else get annoyed at that? Yeah, I guess it's just me... :-)

Lol. We've been 10+ times! and I never knew that! I'm sure I've referred to WDW as the happiest place on Earth!

This will be me next year. :rotfl2: MY DD just turned 20 and moved out and she was the only one to ride the big ride with me. My parents are going this year, so my dad will, bug next year I'm on my own

I think last time we went we got a pic of us playing Go Fish during the drop...

Nope. Not just you. This bugs me too. I have Disney OCD.

My teenage son did this on Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin a couple years ago....It was pretty funny. We almost never buy ride photos but we sure have this one!
