He gets to Scotland and needs to purchase something in a store.

He gives the clerk the card and she hands him the receipt to sign. He signs the receipt with his full name.

She goes to check the signature on HIS card with HIS signature on the receipt and the clerk is confused. What is "see i.d."? ...she asks...and Mike says "oh, I will give you my drivers license"!...."No, sir, I do not want your driver's license...please sign the receipt properly"...."you must sign the receipt with SEE I.D."......!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTH...Mike is saying to himself....

Yup, in the UK whenever he has had to charge anything they make him sign the receipt "SEE I.D."...instead of his NAME....
