What resort are you staying at Trish? We don't do the parks on arrival because we don't want to use a day on our passes...............we don't do length of stay.

We always eat at Chef Mickey's on arrival night, and then ride the monorail around to see the castle all lit up. We ride it back to the Contemporary, go out on the observation deck there on the same floor as Chef Mickey's and watch the fireworks. It's a nice night.

For the afternoon, I'd be getting my hotel room fixed, buying my mugs, going to the pool..............

We're staying at Saratoga Springs. DH has never been at all, and I've only been one time. Chef Mickey's sounds like a fabulous idea. I'll have to see if I can get an ADR.

You are killing my commando planning heart. You don't have all your ADR's lined up?

We like to chill on the first day. Check in ( which they let us do at 7am last trip) and hang around the resort. Make a trip over to DTD. I LOVE DTD. I love shopping so that could be why. We like a easy first day and last day thats just what works for us.

I love to shop, too!

If you can't get Chef Mickeys you could try the 1900 Park Fare at GF for a character dinner. We love it there. It's more girly characters though......Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother.

Yes, I do have all of my ADR's!! I am a good girl with the planning! I just ordered our tickets because I couldn't decide what to get, so that's why day 1 is up in the air. I have also read the Unofficial Guide front to back.

Don't be worried! I have been anal planning this trip. I just decided not to go to a park on our first day because it's the end of Jersey week, SSW, and F&W. I figured every park would be packed and AK will close too early to do anything.

Don't be worried! I have been anal planning this trip. I just decided not to go to a park on our first day because it's the end of Jersey week, SSW, and F&W. I figured every park would be packed and AK will close too early to do anything.

We are just doing DTD and resort hopping to check out Christmas decorations our 1st day. And we have an ADR at Raglan Road......can't wait to check that place out!
