::yes:: Sounds like the best plan by far!

We took Amber to the oral surgeon this morning. I posted an update a couple of pages back. If you don't want to go back, she's doing wonderfully! Thanks for all of the PD and good wishes! :wizard:

I had to search back so I could read it. I am glad she is doing well! Poor baby, I hate to see my kids scared like that! :guilty:

Okay, Big son (you know I'm supposed to not use his name anymore).......brought his first report card today.

He has 100 average in band and PE, 99 in social studies, 98 in science, 96 in pre-ap math and reading and 94 in English/language arts.

All S in conduct (satisfactory).........he used to get E in elementary (exceeds expectations) but they don't use that one in middle school.

That's wonderful news, Paige! I'd be a proud mommy, too! :cheer2:

Are you allowed to tell us what grade he's in?

How old is he?

Is he within the 12/13 years range? He needs to hang out with my DD so a little of that will rub off on her! Way to go Paige's oldest!!! :thumbsup2

Oh I know, me too. I think the main reason why she was so scared was because she's never had anything done like this before. She's never had surgery, never broken a bone, etc. The worst thing she's had done to her mouth was having braces put on and teeth extractions. This one was a tooh exposure. She's still doing great. She was able to eat a PB&J sandwich and chew on the left side of her mouth for lunch. We keep pushing the water.

Okay, sorry, I didn't mean to ramble. :guilty:

Wow! That was a tough year for Amber. She made all A's and B's, but it was a difficult transition for her from elementary school to middle school. The middle school to high school transition was NOTHING! :)

:grouphug:

You aren't rambling! I am just catching up. :)

My youngest DD had to have a surgery when she was small, and she was so terrified, that they gave her some kind of medicine that made her DRUNK! I mean -droopy eyed, grinning like an idiot, dancing while all these strange people poke and prodded at her -drunk. It was one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen.

I think we're ordering a pizza. I don't feel like cooking, and Amber's too tired to go anywhere.

I was thinking his grades might go down in middle school.............he still never brings homework home.........even does all his horn practice before school (bus gets him there early) and reading done at study hall.

OH! He also made 2nd chair with his saxophone and he had to move to a new book as he mastered the beginner book they start on.
