Well, we HAVE a lake about 5 min away, but we are going to a lake about two hours away.........it's much bigger and more touristy.

We will probably come home Monday (there's no school Mon), but maybe Sunday if we're tired of it....................just want to do it for the boys and the s'mores...............

That sounds like a blast! To tell you the truth, I've never been camping. I'm not much of an outdoorsy type of person, but that's something that I think I would do!

I'm not that crazy about it, but I think it's an important experience for the kids..............we last took our Big son before Little son was born...........so he's due, and Little son has never been!

Paige, what are your boys going to be for Halloween? We haven't taken the kids to the party store to pick their costumes out yet. I assume Austin will want to be a Power Ranger or something. I'm so surprised (yet thrilled!) that Amber still wants to trick-or-treat with us! She did mention that she wanted to go with her friends for a few hours, so I don't know how we'll work that out.

Oh, how neat! Make sure to take lots of pictures and scrapbook it!

BTW- Do you scrapbook? My mom and sister and I get together a few times a month and scrapbook. We love it!

That is one of those things that make you go hmmmm....then again, what does that say my cooking might taste like? That is even more fun to ponder! Seriously though, how DOES a person do that? I don't know...we would have to ask my dh! SICK and WRONG!! Poor man. Little does he know it's not only me that laughs at him but I tell all of my cyber friends too (actually he does know, I brought it up at church the next weekend, told his sister on the phone and shared it with family friends at a bbq).

To be fair, I also make fun of myself and will share this story, I once took a tsp. of cough syrup that had a little bug in it. Somehow (and I don't even want to think of how this happened) my rx cough syrup got left out in the car and bugs invaded it. ISH. Little tiny maggot like ishy things. I was tired and it was late and I didn't look closely at the medicine until I was rinsing out the measuring tube...and ISH, a little maggot thing attached to the side. And more of them were doing the backstroke in the cough syrup. I instantly "lost" my cough syrup. GROSS!! I think I actually hold the title to "grossest thing consumed" in this marriage.

I don't scrapbook, I slip them into photo albums that have the sleeves. I'm even behind on that! But I figure that way I can take up scrapbooking whenever I get the notion, and I'll know where the pics are.

Little son picked out a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume and Big son will be something scary, I'm sure, for actual Halloween night. Big son wants to go with his friends.

We are also going to try Six Flags' Halloween thing the weekend before, and for that they are going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 (my mom bought them those tshirts and I have to have them do it for her........we can have those pics and then they can be what they want for Halloween night).

What a great idea! We've never been to Six Flags. It's not too entirely far from here, either! Would it be neat for us to meet ya'll there? I wish we could, but finances are a stuggle right now.

We were thinking about going ro Calloway Gardens for the Fourth of July, but we ended up not going, because Amber got sick. Have you ever been there?

I hope not......................dh will be home any minute, and he said something about "doing something".....................I don't really like spending the night away from home. I hope to stay home tonight and be able to DIS and stay up late.........maybe get some cleaning done.............so that I can sleep Saturday night when we're there...............

Well, I cleaned the house today while Amber was sleeping, so that's taken care of. That's usually my Saturday. I haven't a clue what we'll do tomorrow, if much of anything. I'm really enjoying hanging around the house.
