HEY!!!! Dh said I can plan it for THIS summer  , AND he wants me to crunch the numbers for TWO weeks!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

He said we can put it on his credit cards and then we can pay it off with his commissions and the money I'll save on daycare when Lucas goes to public Kindergarten.................

This one could fall through like the last one...........but at least I can PLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any idea when you'll go? We'll probably be there in August. Maybe we can meet up. (I assume you're going to WDW)

(Added another TR installment)

Hi Harley!!! We'll go in June..........not as hot then.............

Actually, my June trip was WAY hotter than my August one. The little quick rain showers really helped. And the crowds were WAY lower.

When do you have to be back for school?

How old are your kiddos? Not gonna kill ya - just waiting for mine to get old enough to ride the bigger rides before we go :rotfl2:

I THINK the beginning of June is supposed to be good b/c a lot of schools are still in session.

How many times have you been to WDW?

Sarah, we usually start right away in August...............sometimes teacher start date is still in July. Supposedly, there are no more waivers available though to do that with (there was a law passed a few years ago for a third week of Aug start date or later but they let schools waiver it if they could show public support for earlier). So, we may start later in August.........the calendar isn't out yet for 2007-08. But dh wants to go early in summer..........we've been in June twice and enjoyed it both times, might have to try August some time if we won't be going to school early anymore.

Let me count, we've been to WDW.........when Nick was 4, 6, 8 (baby 10 months), 9 (Lucas was 2), and 11 (Lucas was 4). 5 times. We have done Universal when Nick was 6 and 8 (and the baby was 10 months).

Sarah, read your next TR installment........................you're doing a good job remembering! I like the way you include how things are different from when you went in hot weather months.......... :thumbsup2

WOW - I won't even take my 2YO :rotfl: - how'd Lucas do as a little one? Did Nick like Universal at 6?

Thanks!

Your itnerary looks good! DH doesn't get out of school until the second week in June, so by the time we get there, EVERYONE else is there too. I would pick June too if I were you.

We may end up going the week before Christmas instead of August depending on his school break. I really want to go at chrismastime. We'll probably go to Universal this time too.

Sarah, we did Christmas on the 9 and 2 year old trip (I think in terms of my kids' ages more than the years, sorry). We LOVED it...........so nice.

Al, Lucas did GREAT at 10 months.....he learned to walk on a Universal soft playground. :cloud9: We said we'd NEVER take a 2 year old again to any park. :rotfl:

Nick LOVED Universal and IOA at 6, but he was disappointed he couldn't ride the Spiderman one and one other...........he cried. We waited until he was big enough to ride most before going again, but now with our other, he's taller, so can probably ride everything I want him to ride........I'm kind of protective about the bigger rides, even if they are tall enough, I don't always let them.............

When were you there for Christmas? The week after?

I'm hoping the week before won't be as crowded. Maybe we should just stick with August. DH wants to be able to swim, and flights will be way cheaper. We can stay longer and fit Universal in in August. Maybe I should save Christmas for when we have kids.

Hi Sarah  DH and I did a couples-only trip New Year's week last year - it was GREAT - the weather was cool, crowds were pretty much non-existent - loved it!!!

The crowds were gone after New Year's right? DH goes back to school on the 3rd or so. I've always heard that the week between Christmas and New Years was insane.

No, the week before..............Christmas Day was our last full day, we flew out on the 26th. The crowds started getting heavier the 23rd.........before that, it was no worse than the other times we've gone (summer and Spring Break).................

I love the parks and hotels at Christmas, but it was difficult to have Santa find us there. I am not sure I'd do it again with small ones...............

That's what I've heard - we're actually arriving on the 30th this year, so I'll be able to tell you first hand. I KNOW we're not going into the parks on NYE because, well, they'd just have to sedate me to get me through those crowds :rotfl2: New Year's Day last year was a little busy until the evening, then it was deserted - started to pick back up at the end of the week because of the marathon, but even then it wasn't too bad.
