Normally your right but the appendix ruptured and he was in ICU for 2 weeks and at one point they thought he might die. He was in the hosp for 3 1/2 weeks total.

wow. I'm so glad that hes ok. Such a small little thing, but such a big problem when it ruptures. Really makes you think huh? How delicate our bodies really are

How far away are they? My parents are 2 hours north in Maine all summer and then they go to Florida in the winter. I try to get up to Maine one weekend in May-June-July-Aug-Sept and now they are leaving.

250 miles, about 4 hours...........middle of nowhere, our cell phones won't work there.............I went to the town to buy chicken, as I was making and freezing meals for them and there were no chickens in the single grocery store in town..............next nearest town? AN HOUR away!

Same thing happened to me, but I was only in hospital for a week or so..........

Allrighty, I JUST finished reading the last 10 pages and I was on here at lunchtime! You sure are chatty tonight. As much as I would love to stay and chat my DH needs the computer to study. I want to get my laptop fixed! It won't turn on anymore and I have to rely on DH's computer. Talk to ya'll tomorrow. Have a good Friday!

Cleaned house, griped about not having a computer, volunteered at school, griped about not having a computer, decorated the front yard for fall, griped about not having a computer, helped youngest ds make posters (he is running for treasurer), really griped about not having a comuter. The usual stuff.

...ahh...you sound like ME!!! Although, I would have demanded that NEW computer...but be ready S4S, when this one shuts down again...have your new one all planned to BUY!!!

Oh, well that is pretty remote. Where my mom lives in Maine I never had cell service at all. And so after years with Nextel, I switched to Verizon and now we finally have cell service up there. They live on an ISLAND.

Yes, very remote..........I laugh all the time when I hear people make comments about running out of space in the US........obviously, they've only been in the East of the country!

NOT ME...but both my sons did...they went to Cimmarron, New Mexico with the Boy Scouts many many times!!!
