We have not been to the grocery store lately. Luke wanted pizza and yogurt, both just there in the fridge, so I gave them to him while I figured out what to make the rest of us. Nick came in and decided to make mac and cheese for himself, so I settled on spaghetti for dh and I since Nick doesn't like it and we had some frozen sauce from before.
Nick starts his mac and cheese, then gets set up to practice his sax........remembers the m&c and is trying to do both.........meanwhile for some reason, the dog is going nuts over his sax case, and little brother is eyeing the horn, so I said he could not practice until after dinner. Major attitude.............I'd already got some when I sat down to sign his reading and practice schedules and asked him about some papers out of place.........then dh got more attitude when he asked about socks lying by the back door. My final words? "You better pray for your soul, as you may not make it through the night!" and "This is why people used to apprentice their kids at age 9."
Add to the mix the little one wanting this story, that video, has an accident (made it fine but sometimes it doesn't go where he points it), and then I pop him in the bath...........
Dh comes to go to the restroom and there's pee on the seat, so he has a fit (I didn't know he'd got it on the seat, but I still miss where this is my fault?), asks me to tell him my story about work that I started to tell him earlier, then keeps interrupting me and he knows that makes me lose my train of thought. So I see he's being oppositional and say "Never mind." So he storms off to watch football.
Now, when I'm mad I clean, so I storm off into the kitchen to do dishes, which overlooks the livingroom where he's trying to watch football. So he gets up and turns off the TV, brings his glass in and sets it on the counter and goes upstairs to watch.
Now, I go to the restroom to discover that the passive-aggressive man I am married to used all the paper on the roll and didn't put a new one on!
Ahhh, domestic bliss...........
