Bonnie how is Heather liking school? Was she the one who didn't really click day one? How is that all going? I bet by now, she has gotten a lot more comfortable already!

Yep, she's making friends now and she likes school more. Although today her locker would not open and she could not get into it to get her lunch out. She told a teacher but no one would help her today. So she starved until she got home. I told her we'll keep some just-in-case money in her pocket from now on. so she couldn't bring her backpack home today or anything. :(

The rest of my day was not much better. I'm just glad tomorrow is Friday. I thought it was just me who was having a hard time, but it's not. It's the entire staff. NO ONE has any supplies. Everyone has way too many kids in their class. A girl who started a couple days after me is totally frazzled and wants to quit (me too!). Yesterday we were not allowed to throw away the plastic spoons from lunch. We had to SAVE them to be washed for re-use! Now that's just sad!

We've all requested meetings with the principal but she is ignoring all of us.

So I'll just start looking for something else. Hopefully I'll find something. Sorry to vent. I'll zip it now about work!

Zip it if you want...but if you need to talk about it...that's what cousins are for...especially the mad chattin' kind!

Stinks about the locker but that's wonderful about the friends. Anything extra fun planned for their first weekend?

Awwww.....thanks, Jay! You're the best!

I need to go pick up Brent from the train. I'll be back on later. Hopefully I'll see you! Have a great night!

Yay, javamom!! New Tags!! :cheer2: Congrats!

Take a gander at MY 3 all-new tags!! I got a smilie one with my favorite Joey saying on it. Plus one is about Paige! What could be better?

Cool! :thumbsup2

Gee, Bonnie, that is definitely NOT a positive work environment! Those poor kids....................and poor you.....do find yourself a better place. You can't even help the kids in that kind of situation, it's just impossible.

Today was parent day.........I had several asking questions about the happenings the last few days..............I think they'll be happier when the newsletter comes home, but my printer is on the fritz.

Hello, Paigey-poo! Nice to see your cute self today. I'm waiting for the girls to finish their showers so we can go down and watch Big Brother. It's being Tivod, so we wait until about 20 minutes into it before we start to watch, so that we'll be able to FF the commercials!

What's up?

Saturday I have to take Ainslee to a birthday party and we are supposed to go to Brent's company picnic (which we might skip). Sunday we are going to a National's baseball game against the Brewers, so we'll be going into D.C.

What about you? Any plans?

Nick has a birthday party also on Saturday. I guess I'll just send cash in a card..........they're getting too big to buy for, you never know what they want!

Luke SAID he was invited to a party, but I always tell the kids.........I don't shop for it or make time for it until I see the invitation! :rotfl:

Yep, I have a similar policy. Too many kids telling each other they're going to be invited to their birthday, when sometimes they don't even end up having a party.

What was for dinner at your house? I gave my kids Beefaroni and I had a frozen meal and Brent had egg rolls. Pretty sad, but I did not want to cook!

Jay - Your vacations sounds like it's going to be great! :thumbsup2

Denise - My day was busy... like it's been for a while now. I promise I'm not staying away from this thread because I want to - it's because I'm so busy lately!

Well, DH is back in with the dog, so I should get back to the show we were watching... I'll try to check back in!

Aloha Cousins!! How is everyone doing? LOOK LOOK LOOK...LOOK at the time....it is still WAY before midnight and I am online!! :):):)

We have not been to the grocery store lately. Luke wanted pizza and yogurt, both just there in the fridge, so I gave them to him while I figured out what to make the rest of us. Nick came in and decided to make mac and cheese for himself, so I settled on spaghetti for dh and I since Nick doesn't like it and we had some frozen sauce from before.

Nick starts his mac and cheese, then gets set up to practice his sax........remembers the m&c and is trying to do both.........meanwhile for some reason, the dog is going nuts over his sax case, and little brother is eyeing the horn, so I said he could not practice until after dinner. Major attitude.............I'd already got some when I sat down to sign his reading and practice schedules and asked him about some papers out of place.........then dh got more attitude when he asked about socks lying by the back door. My final words? "You better pray for your soul, as you may not make it through the night!" and "This is why people used to apprentice their kids at age 9."

Add to the mix the little one wanting this story, that video, has an accident (made it fine but sometimes it doesn't go where he points it), and then I pop him in the bath...........

Dh comes to go to the restroom and there's pee on the seat, so he has a fit (I didn't know he'd got it on the seat, but I still miss where this is my fault?), asks me to tell him my story about work that I started to tell him earlier, then keeps interrupting me and he knows that makes me lose my train of thought. So I see he's being oppositional and say "Never mind." So he storms off to watch football.

Now, when I'm mad I clean, so I storm off into the kitchen to do dishes, which overlooks the livingroom where he's trying to watch football. So he gets up and turns off the TV, brings his glass in and sets it on the counter and goes upstairs to watch.

Now, I go to the restroom to discover that the passive-aggressive man I am married to used all the paper on the roll and didn't put a new one on! :rotfl:

Ahhh, domestic bliss...........

Hi Jay! I usually stay up late waiting for you, and always have to get off too early, seems like. How great you're already here!

It sounds like you have having one of "those" nights at home. It's times like that I wish we did live closer and we could meet for some frosty drinks, some good eats and a whole lot of chat-chat-chattering!

To help you relax, you can share (with Bonnie) in laughing at my childhood "pain"...see post #7436. And you are welcome... :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Se la vie..............you gotta have the storms to get the sewer drains cleared out! ;)

Yep, in our family, it's par for the course sometimes. I think it's a sign of a healthy family. Those uber-perfect looking families scare me to no end! ;)

So how did the parent's day go today?
