Are you still around? Great news that DBIL is out of the hospital! How was your trip this weekend?

PT must be miserable...but oh so needed. I sure hope your mom is getting lots and lots stronger each day. I am glad to hear that you can speak with her on the phone daily. That would be even that much harder (being so far away) if you weren't able to at least do that.

I bet Mindy is having the time of her life! I cannot wait until I get to follow in her footsteps!! Not long now!!

Good morning, Mad Chatters! It's 4:50am. I've been up since 3:00 cause I couldn't sleep. I so do not want to go to work today. I just dread going to work and it's on my mind all the time.

I'm nervous for my girls starting their new schools today. They are not looking forward to it. I lived in the same house my entire childhood so I never experienced moving and starting over at a new school with all new kids. I can imagine it must be scary though.

Paige, sorry to hear about the health problems in your family. That must be pretty stressful on you. How is your mom doing today?

I agree, I wonder what Minty is doing right now? I hope she's having a ball. :sunny:

Have a great day, everyone!

Bonnie I was the same as you three weeks ago when my kids started school. I couldn't sleep. I was nervous for them. Would they like it, have a good teacher, have friends in their class? I guess it's all part of being a mom. Here's a :grouphug: to help get you through the morning. Good luck to your girls.

I hope your girls have a wonderful day Bonnie. My girls had to change schools when they were in 4th and 7th grade. The one going into the 4th grade had a very easy time with it, she had invited a friend to sleep over the very 1st weekend! The one that started 7th grade had a horrible time with it, and didn't really begin to adjust well until 9th grade. She just didn't talk to anyone (at all!) for the 7th grade year, but has gradually opened up and increased her circle of friends until now she is doing very well.

Hope your job goes well too! I hear ya about hating your job. One day I will win the lottery and I won't have to work anymore! Of course I would have a better chance of that if I actually bought a lottery ticket every now and then... :teeth:

Bonnie, it's all straightening out now, so I am actually a whole lot LESS stressed than I had been. Just in time to help you out with your stress................. :grouphug: I bet they'll all come home with new friends. My son has only moved once, and he did great in his new school. I was really worried too. At work, just schedule, schedule, schedule. The more things you have scheduled, the better off it will be. Make your aide take a story time and sit back at another table to "check" journals during that time.........giving yourself a few moments. Up to 3 storytimes a day are really beneficial..........journaling time, an art project that's not too difficult for them to do, some tabletop activities...........make smaller free center time, or rotate them so not all 25 are in centers at once.

I'd say more, but I'm gonna be late to computer class if I don't dash! :grouphug:

Hello, Mad Chatters! How's everybody doing?

I'm up to 25 kids in my class (YIKES) and our room feels really crowded! I still had a pretty good day though.

BTW: My friend Macraven might stop in. She's a wonderful lady! :)

I was ridin' high..........things were just the way they should be.........when from out of the sky comes some new PUNK in a rocket..........now some strange things are happening to me!

I'm so glad you're here Bonnie! I was getting a bit loopy hanging out here all alone...........with no one here beside me.................... :rotfl:

They are forcing me to sit with other 2nd grade teachers and learn together from each other................you know all that means is THEY are learning from ME!

Just kidding, I'm getting some ideas, but there is one there, I won't tell you what I call her, but she is gettin' on my last nerve girl!

It's just not right that everyone gets to benefit from your cleverness and expertise, whilst you get nothing in return.

Where's Teresa these days? And all our other pals, actually. They've abandoned us! I also miss Kelly, where is that lady?

That's cause this chick, she driving me crazy!

She talks about what her school is doing as if they are the only ones.......the whole district is doing the same stuff........then she's like no, no, we're a PILOT group.........well, honey, there are an awful lot of pilots in this cockpit wit ya! :rotfl:

That is EXACTLY what I told THEM as they were throwing me out the window! :rotfl:

I don't know where all our buddies are..........a few come around here and there, but most are dropping right off.........is it something I said?
