Oh, hi Jay! I thought no one would be on this late.

Yes, Bonnie, I'm so glad you had an enjoyable day. It sure makes it all worth it when your efforts are recognized.

You caught me...I was hoping I would find you here! Did you calm down after that "other" thread?

How many times do your cousins have to warn you...it's dangerous over there! ;) :lmao:

No, they don't think the hip replacement is a sure thing, but they think it's a possibility once they get in and look at it, so they already had her sign approval to do it if they think it's needed once she's in surgery.

I'm making Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip. They're done, actually, but need to be bagged. The PTO lady asked for 2 dozen so that's what I made. Since the kids were in bed, I put the rest of the dough in the fridge for baking tomorrow.

I'm still a bit stirred up tonight, so probably will watch some TV and some of that dough might just disappear..............

Hey, Jay, you know what they've done at school? The bilingual classes were overloaded, so they drew some new lines and decided all the kids on the other side of those lines would be bussed to the other bilingual school (they are already bussed to us from nonbilingual schools). Lots of drama today with the parents being notified, teachers upset about various ones leaving (or not leaving), and talks of how to redistribute the classes so they are more equal.

CRAZY!

I don't think anyone will ever understand the minds of those who draw the "magic" lines. :( I cannot imagine the utter craziness of doing it AFTER you start the year...wonder who was smart enough to the let the school year start before redrawing the lines.

I know, and when I saw the title I knew better than to open the stupid thing. I don't know what's wrong with me, I can't help myself. Must be some new kind of disorder that makes you open threads you know you don't really want to get into...................... :thumbsup2

What's weird is that we got TONS of new kids in, both bilingual and non-bilingual, but the ones leaving are the ones we've had in our school for years and years, not the new ones.....................

So give me the scoop on the soccer stuff................

Hmm...dough disappears in this house too...maybe it's the little man who eats the socks and steals the pens...either that or it MIGHT be me...nah...I would never do that :lmao: ;)

Is dh asleep already? What are you gonna watch on tv?

Hey, Jay, you're falling behind, keep up here.......... :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh, wait, it's my ADD, I need to slow down for you normal folk....... :lmao:

Snorin' like a baby. He hasn't asked me to get off here yet, so I'm safe for a bit, but this is in the bedroom, so I may not be on here long.

I'll watch Discovery, History, Food, or Health channel, or the news rerun or my Highlander tapes, or Newsies on DVR for the umpteenth time.

Can they appeal? Poor kids. Poor parents. Poor teachers. Not a fun situation at all! :( GRRRR Were any of the kids in your class switched?

No, they didn't do the English classes, just the bilingual. They were over 25 in a class and our district likes 22 for PK-3, 25-30 for 4 and 5. 4 and 2 are low, so they didn't go..........2 only if they had a sibling in the other grades go, 4s they aren't letting go so if any have a sibling in 4th, they get to stay.

Mainly K, 1 and 3 affected and their 2nd grade, PK and 5th grade siblings. I don't think there will be appeals, since the kids already aren't at their home schools.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...**read that to say JAY IS NOT SMART** I don't know why I always say yes. I am the sucker that has that look. You know the one that makes everyone ask them to do things? And you just know they will say yes? :confused3 WHY!? I need to learn the word no.

Jay, can you manage this team? NO
Jay, can you head up this co-op? NO
Jay, can you help with this church function? NO
LOL, I need to learn to value the power of NO!!

But the upside of soccer is that Jason made a really good state wide select team and he is loving it (he played for this team last year too). He gets great training, has a ton of fun and gets some good exercise in as well. He is really way to into it for my taste. I am one of the only parents who doesn't care if their child quits/continues. I just want him to have fun. These other parents...well, to put it kindly, they REALLY care about how their children do (and make a lot of noise about it either way). :confused3 Not sure why. It's not like any of them have a snowball's chance in a desert of being a big time soccer player one day. Sure they are good...but all over the US other kids are good too. Thousands upon thousands of kids play the sport...

Yes, I got rather tired of those parents. Some of their kids were pretty good for THAT team, but come on, plenty are just as good, but they'd turn that into the only important thing in their universe.

I have a hard time saying no too (2 dozen cookies being baked by a busy, stressed out, teacher/mom who has way more places to put her time!), but I have solved that by keeping to myself and not meeting people. That way, no one asks me anything, because they don't know who the heck I am! :rotfl2:

What? I don't speak Stitch! :rotfl:

Neither do I...sadly. I wish I could call that Stitch...instead, I have to admit to having typing/thinking problems. :teeth: Maybe I should be medicated!

Oh, I thought it was Stitch or Yankee-speak..............

Nobody take offense, I meant because I couldn't understand it only.
