Have you been to the Contemporary and Poly before? The Poly I had always wanted to stay at. I will someday hopefully. I just love the decor and ambience. I'm eating at Ohana on my birthday so at least I can visit! Is this your first cruise also? Another thing I envy. The cruises look so magical

They're all from different parts of Africa right? Just too cool. I'll bet they have some great stories! Oh here I go again trembling that my wait is finally over! I've been planning this trip since February!

You will have to let me know all about the Swan! We have never stayed there.

What will you be doing each day? YES...I am crazy enough to really want to hear where you will be going, eating, etc. I live through others (at least until 9/16)

9:3: Epcot morning, MK EMH-dinner at Crystal Palace Spa in the afternoon at Dolphin!
9/4: MGM morning, MK evening-dinner at CRT Afternoon tea at the GF!
9/5: My birthday at MK! Dinner at Ohana
9/6: MGM all day-transfer to AKL-dinner at Mamma Melroses
9/7: Epcot all day-dinner at Le Cellier
9/8: AK/ Epcot EMH-dinner at Boma
9/9: Breakfast at Cape May, downtown Disney until I have to go!

I was here, Karen, but didn't post as no one else seemed to be.

Had a great day, but sent two little notes on planners today...........hated to do it, but they'd had plenty of warnings.

So many poor attitudes right now at work. They have changed so many programs, our school scores on the state test were very poor in one area so there's some pressure (though good in other areas, and outstanding if a few), and then I think the world in general (and the weather) take their toll. I'm trying to stay off in my own happy corner with my fabulous class.................but every once in a while one of the "negatives" encroaches on my space.

Jay, we wanted to stay at the Contemporary on our last trip but it was full, and dh wants the Poly, but we can't afford it yet.

We've looked at AKL, too Mindy, but wondered how long the bus trip is to MK from there, but I see you'll be going to Epcot and AK from there. I like your itinerary, I wish you could pack me!

Promised ds I'd make cookies, so I will go now. See you all later if I can get back, if not, tomorrow!

Hi Paige! I'll pack you! I've got plenty of room in my suitcase!

I don't think the bus to the MK is all that long, maybe 20 minutes tops. But the AKL has its own dedicated buses unlike the epcot hotels, so it may actually be longer to get to MK from the Swan than AKL. I won't be able to compare as I am staying away from the MK the last 2 days of my trip due to nights of joy (the Christian music concert) being held there. No desire to get kicked out early with no fireworks!

Sorry there is so much badness around you right now. I'm sure things will get straightened out as the year unfolds, but I think your strategy is great. Head up high and try not to let it bother you.

So your mom comes home tomorrow? That must be a relief!

Sorry Mindy, last night my computer cord got fried...thank goodness for surge protectors! A new cord and my computer was up and running again! It was so weird...no rain first, no thunder first...just a big lightening strike and then the rain and thunder came. But it's all good now. It just took me this long to get the other cord hooked up and get back online.

Looks like the thread was S-L-O-W today!! How was everyone's day? Karen, have you started any new game threads lately?

Here are our plans:

9/16 arrive about noon, check in to the Contemp. and then head over to MK. SpectroMagic and fireworks will be our big plans this day/night.

9/17 AK 8:05AM breakfast with Donald , stay at AK through the early afternoon then head back and take a quick nap and head over to MK for a counter service dinner and EMH night.

9/18 EPCOT (spend the day in the FutureWorld section) 11:30 lunch at the Coral Reef **diver will hold up an anniversary sign for us, a surprise for dh and I am SOOOOOOO excited about it but cannot talk to anyone "here" about it because the kids might blab and everyone else is just not interested in Disney** 7:05 dinner at the Garden Grill head back to the resort after dinner

9/19 MK 8:10AM breakfast at the Crystal Palace (uncrowded park pictures...WOO HOO) 4:30PM dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern

9/20 Free day...maybe a water park or a park for a few hours or just the pool, it all depends on what we feel like doing. Dinner at Chef Mickey's at 7:20 PM followed by watching the electrical light parade.

9/21 EPCOT spend the morning in the FutureWorld section and the rest of the afternoon/night in the World Showcase area. We have lunch at the Garden Grill at 11:40 and then dinner will be snacking our way around the world (yum).

9/22 MGM 8:05AM Hollywood and Vine character breakfast. 11:25AM Sci-Fi lunch. 5:10 PM Hollywood and Vine (fantasmic package). We won't miss the parade or Fantasmic this year!!

9/23 leave for our Disney Magic Cruise (West. route) We will stop at Key West, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay.

9/30 check into the Poly early in the day. Spend the day at the resort. Lunch at the Whispering Canyon Cafe 1:00PM. Dinner at Ohana at 7:00PM and then watch the fireworks from the beach.

10/1 AK (this time do all of the "animal stuff" that we always skip) Again an early breakfast (8:10AM) with Donald so that we can be the first in the park . Dinner at Boma at 7:00 PM.

10/2 10:50 AM breakfast with Stitch at Ohana. Then spend the day hanging out at the resort. Then it is on to MNSSHP (hopefully we can still get in at 4:00 PM with the party ticket only) until midnight!! I cannot wait to see the characters dressed up!

10/3 Sleep in. Counter service breakfast at the resort, swim, relax and then...GO HOME!!

Paige, I'm sorry to hear about the tough parts of the job. I guess every job has them...but they are never very much fun are they!? How are the boys adjusting this week?
