The House of the Scorpion - Nancy Farmer
Eragon - Chris Paolini
The City of the Beasts - Isabelle Allende
Ellen Foster - Kaye Gibbons (She read this one already! LOVED it!)
Ender's Game - Scott Card
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen (I thin it's going to be too long to read by Monday!)
Mississippi Trail - Chris Crowe
Choosing Up Sides - John Ritter
Bronx Masquerade - Nikki Grimes
Dragonwings - Laurence Yep
Tangerine - Edward Bloor
*She doesn't like those fantasy type books* Do you have any recommendations?![]()
Yes, I totally agree; that list is really awful. Not enough variety, and they are very long.
Umm..I recommend all the fantasy ones! Esp. Eragon, but it's very long.
Nikki Grimes is a wonderful author. I heard Bronx was very good, but I don't have first hand experience.
I read House of the Scorpian for my graduate class. It's about cloning. Kind of exciting, but again long. I don't like Science Fiction, but if she does it would be a good choice.
Ender's Game is also very good Scific. I actually like that one and it's not too long.
I go with either Bronx or Ender's Game.

I love the "Denise" and the "Mad Chatters" icons, but I can't get the format quite right. So what's up with you?
