The Mad Chatters thread Part 2

We just got back from Fredericksburg. We didn't realize that so many of the shops would be closed on Sunday. My Tea Parlor was closed too! :( We'll have to go back for that. But my favorite shop, Cranberry Twist was open! I got 2 sets of cute notecards plus an Autumn Harvest candle. It smells soooo good! Can't wait for Fall. We also bought some stuff in the shop that was all cat-themed. We have a friend who loves cats, so we bought something for her and we'll just save it for her birthday or Christmas or whatever. We even got her some cat wrapping paper! They also had some real cats walking around the store which pleased my DD5 greatly! She's a cat lover.

Then we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner and it was yum. Now we're back home.

How was your day?

That would be SO nice of you, however can I request it be no-carb cake and tea..... back on the ole' diet wagon again tomorrow :(

Hey, Lori. I'm planning on starting up a lo-carb diet too. I also need to get off my **** and go walking or something.

What kinds of things do you eat for your lo-carb diet? I need ideas so I don't get bored and give up so easily!

P.S. I have been getting lots of compliments on my Tink Siggy! :thumbsup2

Well, hello, not enough room at the dinner table, so I volunteered to eat in here. Everyone else is having honey jalapeno roasted chicken with leftover chili and fruit salad. I am having soup, because they told me not to eat anything spicy or greasy, and I think the chicken and chili definitely qualify as both!

So just wanted to chat a bit before I go back to visiting with mom.

So we went to the mall and got three shirts for younger ds, two tshirts and a button-down, a pair of shorts and two jeans for older ds, and mom surprised me by buying me three blouses/sweaters for work. :)

Then we stopped by Academy to get Nick the giant red shoelaces he MUST have for his Vans.

Now we are completely ready for school...........feels good!

Hi Paige. You're all ready for school! Nice! We haven't even started. But school doesn't start here unitl Sept 5, so we still have a month left. We got Ains a 3 outfits, Caitlin 3 tops and a skirt, no clothes for Heather yet though. We did get all their backpacks, which we ordered from specialty stores online. Ainslee's we got from the Disney online store; it's a Tinker bell backpack with her name embroidered on it, plus a matching lunch pail. We haven't gotten any school supplies yet either.

Confession: Luke's kindergarten backpack was bought 3 years ago! They had a 75 percent off sale, and there was the cutest green Lion King backpack there, and they had matching lunchbox sets. We've lucked out too because he loves animals, so he should love it!

Oh, Nick's school doesn't start until Aug. 21, but since I am going back to work next week, and he is going to stay with my mom and dad until his school starts, thought it best to get it all together now.

I'm gonna leave this on while I go visit. Might be able to step back in shortly.

Good idea to get it together now!

Hey, you never PMd me your address. I'm trying to get all the Mad Hatters' addresses. Unless you are not comfortable giving it to me, of course. I would understand! :)

Bonnie, your afternoon sounds like it was wonderful (even if all of the shops were not open). Did your family enjoy it as much as you?

Hey there Paige. How's the soup?

Tonight we had a Mexican casserole dish. Yummy and not even all that calorie heavy thanks to me not remembering to pick up the sour cream that should have gone with it. ;)

Thanks, Paige, Jay, and Karen, for posting on my thread! You made me feel loved!

everyone. :wave2:

Or at least it was until I read an email from my school principal. Seems someone told him I wanted to look for a new job. I told him it was news to me. I even bought a new school shirt on Friday.

Honestly, who needs the hassle? So how is everyone else doing. Talk fast, I have to go to sleep early. :rotfl:

Well, g'night guys, I'm feeling sleepy early tonight................

Hi Karen!

That sucks someone told your principal that. Are they starting rumors, or what? :confused3 That's just mean.

It gets meaner. She's supposedly a "friend" of mine. He did mention it right in the email. This is so childish!! But I can't let that worry me. Hopefully I set him straight. The shirt did cost me $24.00. :rotfl2:
