The principal of the preschool that I am trying to get a job at called me a little while ago. She said that although they had originally announced that they were not going to have private Kindergarten this coming year, she is going to ask the parents if anyone is still interested, now that they might have a teacher. If there is enough interest, I would be able to teach the K class. But I'm thinking it is too close to the new school year (Starts on Sept. 5) so I highly doubt there would be much interest. So I can teach pre-K and then next year teach the Kindergarten class.

She said my background check has not come back yet but she wanted to make sure I knew she was very interested. When the background check comes back she'll call me to set up an interview.

So if there's not enough interest, you'll just do pre-k?

If I had kids I would totally post on your thread. I think it's a great idea. I bet if you changed the title of the thread, you'd get a ton of replys!

Thats great news! So either way you'll have a job coming into the new school year, right? I hope that they set up the Kindergarten for you. It sounds like that is what you really want!

I gotta dash. Got my pre-op today.................4 or 5 paragraphs on the paper about "possible" tests, instructions, what time to come, so on and so forth. Then one little paragraph about signing papers and "be sure to bring payment for the part your insurance won't cover"..............who wants to bet that little paragraph is the REAL reason for this appointment?

Ha! Told ya so! I would be willing to bet there'll be enough interest!

The thing is, the public schools here are EXCELLENT (one of the reasons we wanted to move here). So I don't think there would be a huge need for private Kindergarten. The company I worked for in Vegas has centers here, but none have private Kindergarten because everyone wants their child to attend the public schools here. I want Ainslee to as well. It's not just the good teachers, they are very well-funded and the students have a lot more equipment and opportunities than the typical public schools.
