Oh ok. Didn't realize they weren't part of the Chatter family. I've been away for a bit so I didn't know if they had started when I was gone or what. Do you think they just voted for the heck of it or they want to join us?
BTW I just posted on the pen pal list! It will be cool to have a penpal. I haven't had one since about 5th grade!

Really? That would be awesome! I love getting mail. Its so depressing getting only junk and bills. The main reason I signed up for blockbuster rentals by mail!
But its fun to plan for a trip regardless of whether you go! I think you should lean toward November/December-think of all the pretty lights!

Whatever you decide I hope we can all get together at the same time!

Nov/Dec would be cooler temp-wise, but I don't want it to be as cold as it was when we went in January. You could only swim at the hottest part of the day, which was also the best park time.

I also have to convince DH we should go. He doesn't like the idea of going twice in one year (he's very frugal). But we have passes left over from Jan and if I can get a good Ding fare and a disney deal, we'd probably spend only around $1000...(I'm practicing my speech now).

Who knows? Maybe I'll go home and find the message on the phone that he finally got a job!

Sarah, sorry it doesn't look like your DH will get a teaching job. Does he have a backup job?

Yeah, he works retail. He's just a lowly associate, but he makes decent for retail (which is still really bad), cuz he's been doing it for 10 years!

I think he's going to give it one more summer and then give up on teaching.

On the positive side, he met a new principal for a school in Cleveland (where he did a ton of his student teaching) at work yesterday. She moved here from NW Ohio. She said that she has a retiring Art teacher next year and to make sure he applies for it if he doesn't get something this year after he talked himself up. We know of two other positions that will open next year as well.

I just wish he could get an aide postion or anything to get him back in a classroom...

Is he at all interested in Substitute teaching? They get paid differently from place to place, but in Vegas when I subbed, I made $95 a day. Also, we could pick which days we wanted to work, as long as we worked at least one day in a 2-week period.

Or he could volunteer a little at a YMCA or some other community organization. It may not pay but it looks fab on a resume!
