It is very crowded, but going to WDW anytime is great!

I want to go the week BEFORE christmas, which is supposed to be much better than the week of Christmas. Most schools get out on the 22nd this year, so we'll be there the week before anyone else.

It can take them up to 10 days to ship them to you, if you by from an amazon seller. Unless the express ship it. You probably know this, but I just had to say it in case.

Sarah...what about taking DH's family WITH YOU to WDW? I know that doesn't solve anything for your family. But they must all be having a hard time with the losing her and instead of buying gifts for each other you could all get away together to the "magic of the world" and enjoy your time in a different setting that might not be so hard to deal with. I know the first Christmas after my mom passed away was really hard (actually the first anything was hard). This might not work, but I thought you might want to have DH consider it. Sarah - sorry to hear about your MIL. We went to WDW Dec 13-? (Can't remember) 2004... I don't remember it being awful. More crowded than other trips... but then again I'm pretty sure we missed the week before Christmas.

Can you link me to the item you were thinking of buying? I'm pretty sure you are talking about buying from a second hand seller. They take a LOT longer to ship than Amazon.

There are two parts to Amazon. Amazon itself and then regular people who sell to you (I've done it before both bought and sold). Amazon will handle the transaction from the Sellers, but shipping is the Seller's responsibity and usually takes a while. I had one take 2 weeks.
