Rob, would you mind giving me an update on KC weather? My DD is flying home from Hong Kong to O'Hare then KC on Sunday. (She goes to school in Lawrence.) Totally worried she is going to be snowed in somewhere before she drives home to OK on Wednesday. Thanks!

Our forecast is: Sunday's high is supposed to be 8, around 22 on Monday, in the 30s on Tuesday, and in the 20s on Wednesday. Sunday and Monday are dry and partly cloudy while Tuesday and Wednesday are the precipitation days. Right now, they are saying that Tuesday during the day will be a light rain/snow mix changing over to all snow Tuesday night and Wednesday -- however, even then they're saying "light" snow. I have not heard any inch amount predictions yet for Tuesday/Wednesday.

HIYA back!

Morning to all the Chatters, especially the most mad ones of you! I have my Christmas colors on since we're less than a week out from HO! HO! making his way down the chimney (or however he gets into this place).

Everyone ready for the last weekend before Christmas?? Anyone lucky enough not to have to go anywhere near a store? Not that I would be one of those. I need to head to the grocery store. Wegman's here I come!!! It will probably be a zoo today and I can't decide whether going now or later will be best. AHH! Such decisions!!

I might head over to the cross-stitch shop, too. I'll have another Christmas stocking to make for next year (another granddaughter is on the way Who knows, I might even get it finished before I have to go back to school.

Later on, cleaning and baking that will be the order of the day...such fun I tell ya!!! DH keeps reminding me that a woman's work is never done.

And I am! South doesnt equal warmer though, so that kinda blows. We are heading out the Friday after Christmas and staying through Monday. How have you been lady? How's that handsome young man of yours?

Hi Kathi! Nope, not ready yet. Almost... Can't kick this stupid sinus thing. Was almost gone, then it came back with a vengeance! At this rate, we'll be leaving Santa Kleenex & Nyquil instead of milk & cookies!

I have to go to Wegman's too, but I'm holding out until Monday morning. That place gets nuts on the weekend! They're building a new outdoor mall in the same plot that Wegman's is on, & when that's finished... Gonna be mayhem.

I was SHOCKED I tell ya, at how uncrowded Wegman's was yesterday. I guess most of the those people who were shopping the Saturday before Thanksgiving figured yesterday would be the same and they stayed away. I'm thinking tomorrow is going to be a real zoo there.

I love the shopping center Wegman's is located in....Target, DSW, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Joann's, Hallmark, Costco, Dress Barn, Bobby Chez's.....What's not to love??

No real snow here yet either...just a few flurries on Friday. I wish it would snow!! All this cold, damp rain is worse than snow! At least if the sky has to be gray for days on end, we could have something to play in when it's over!

I watched "House Bunny" last night too!!! It's kinda funny! The part with Rumor Willis running and her brace dramatically breaks free is stinkin awsome. Love the drag queenish makeovers

I also (finally) watched Mamma Mia. "Dancing Queen" is the best! I also looooved the scene toward the end with Pierce, Collin, and Whathisface on the dock at sunset wearing jeans and white long sleeved button down shirts with the sleeves rolled up a little...ohhhhh myyyy! I love how distinguished and gorgeous yet casual they all looked.

I still have John Adams to watch. I want to wait till I'm kid-free and well rested to sink into that!

Ohhh, Wendy, that is what I ask for Xmas ...the entire HBO series!!!! I so hope it is under the tree. I want to be able to see every show one right after the other without any weeks in between!!! I also absolutely LOVE The Tudors!!!! Hoping to get those DVD's as well.

Dancing Queen IS the best! But heather and I always listen to "I can still recall...our last summer...I can see it allllll" every time we listen to the soundtrack. We enjoy Colin's voice. He is not remotely believable as a gay man, however. Not after seeing him in the A&E version of Pride & Prejudice (my favorite movie, BTW). And that number "School bag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning" where Meryl is helping her daughter get ready for her wedding day is such a tear-jerker!!
