Shannon, you and Wendy are my role models. Be warned, though, I do NOT like exercise, not at all... I know I NEED it, but I get myself so busy, plus I have a bad back, and asthma, so I tend to avoid the pain.

I hear ya. Exercise sucks. But, it's the ONLY way, as I slowly realized. There are just no short cuts. :sad2:

Rob-- $20-25 will give you a leisurely, sensuous....

Kick in the keister! I am high class mister. Better get out that Platinum Visa. Humph.
Actually a kick by thigh high red boots doesn't sound so bad. :rolleyes1

Hmmm, seems like I've been hearing that from another Chatter Peep for the last four months or so.

1. Wow! Nice outfit being semi-worn by Kellie Pickler.

2. Nice red dress on Heidi Newfield.

3. Taylor Swift's "Love Story" needed the vocal volume increased or the band volume decreased. Not sure I've ever seen a dress change in the middle of a song on the CMA's before though.

4. Oh man! I had completely forgotten Jerry Reed passed away this year.

5. Loving Carrie Underwood's HAIR tonight but have yet to see a dress on her (tonight) that thrills me.

6. Man, Reba looks freakin' awesome at 53!

7. Hootie!

8. I would give almost anything to have Josh Turner's voice (even just for speaking).

9. Carrie Underwood wins Female Vocalist of the Year! Woo hoo!

10. James Otto's "Just Got Started Lovin' You" -- love that song!

11. Trace Adkins's "You're Gonna Miss This" -- great song also.

12. OMGosh! Shania Twain! She's, uh, just bustin' right out of her dress. Shania used to be in my siggy -- may need to put her back there again. Wow!

Good night and good morning, Rob!

Where is everyone today? Its already after 10 central and no one else has posted?!?

Maybe there's a party that we weren't invited to? :snooty:

Course one of us (at least) lives in the Mountain time zone where they do things just a bit later than everyone else (another reason I had to do my CMA post AFTER the CMA's were done being shown there -- I'd hate for this "person of the future" to spoil anything for her).

Cool CMA re-cap Rob. Now if only I liked country music...:lmao:

Sorry! Big day of pre-holiday cleaning here, then went to gym, now getting ready for some Christmas shopping.

Hope everyone's having a good one-- the weather sux today!

Hi Kristi, world's greatest BFF! Saw ya on the wish thread! Hopefully those peeps can motivate me back into a size 8. :cool1: (Or, back to reality, since I'm apparently caught in a fantasyland.:rotfl2: )

Hi everyone else.:wave2:
I'm everyone else, so, HI!
I have a huge multi quote I keep meaning to do on the wish thread. I'll do it right after this. I have my priorities dontchaknow!

Fantasyland is where I always usually am too.

Shannon! You brought me out of lurkdom over there! But size 8? I haven't been THAT size since JR High! Wow, I don't even pray for such things, I would be THRILLED beyond measure with size 14, and 12 would have me over the moon.
When I was a size 28 ( ) I used to just say, IF ONLY I was a 16. Now my 16's are wayyyy too big.

Kristi- Enjoy the process and hang on! It's a teeny bit bumpy sometimes. I can in all honesty say, "If I can do it...any shmuck can do it!!!"

I'm glad you joined over there too. Now I know more peeps than just Wendy & Squid! Don't fret-- 3 yrs ago I was thinking exactly what you are-- I would've given a leg to be a size 12. Tons of exercise & hard work later... I'm almost a 10. We can do it together! And then you can join Wendy & I in our smexy red boot club.:rotfl:
Smexy red bood club...I LIKE!
I didn't know you lost weight, Shannon! :thumbsup2 (good girl!)
It IS a lot of work, in'nt it?? WISH there was a magic pill or easy button!

I told myself that for 40 years (well, 25 maybe). I haaaated exercise!
Just start out easy-peazy. Do a little something during each commercial break while watching TV. Do what you can.

Zactly!

I'M the Mountain timer in question, future boy! You know better than to ruin my shows:3dglasses OR, I need my very own Flux Capacitor :thumbsup2

Big day of pre-holiday cleaning here, then went to gym, now getting ready for some Christmas shopping.

Hope everyone's having a good one-- the weather sux today!

Our weather sucks too! :confused3 Christmas shopping here too. Well...getting started anyway. I found a wii at Costco for $200-something I sort of should go back and get.

I hate having to go to the gym at night after the kids get picked up, but it makes me sleep really well since I'm not allowed on the internet during "family time" :rolleyes1

OK, here's the burning question....where is my other BFF, Squiddie? :sad1:

HOW is Bonnie??? BON-neee!!! << much love to ya girlie!

Hi, Shannon, Wendy, Rob!

Rob, of course, it would be terrible to spoil the CMA's for Wendy, I agree. Good thing we don't have anyone watching from overseas, but they would probably have forgotten all about it before the channels there got around to showing it. It seems like all tv shows were about 2-3 weeks behind when we were in Japan.

Our weather here is quite pleasant (turning colder tomorrow though) -- 60 degrees and sunny!

Cool CMA re-cap Rob. Now if only I liked country music...:lmao:
Who said I liked the MUSIC? :rolleyes1 (Although some of it I really do like.)

1. True that. Seriously, Kristi, you've just got to start sometime. I'm doing it by watching what I eat and the amount -- if it's bad for me, I at least try to keep my portion size down -- and "building in" exercise by parking further away from the door, taking stairs instead of elevators, etc. However, I think Wendy and Shannon are probably right -- I lost 27 pounds the first half of the year doing the above but have only lost 5 pounds (still have 30 to go at least) the last 5 months -- I think exercise is what's needed to break through this plateau that I'm at.

2. You say that as if I didn't know. :sad2:

3. Yeah, like watching TV shows is what you would use a Flux Capacitor for.

Hi, Shannon, Wendy, Rob!

Hi Kristi!

It isn't that I don't KNOW it, its just that I haven't been good about DOING it, KWIM? And hey! How come YOU aren't on the WISH thread too? I think that it will be very good having all that support, since my willpower is pretty much non-existant on my own.

Yes! WHY isn't he on the WISH thread?

What is this willpower of which you speak? :upsidedow

You think I want to hang out with a bunch of women? :rolleyes1

Dork! YOU know why I am not on the WISH thread but maybe NOW would be a better time to join in.

1. Umm, yeah!

2. HEY! Why does she know if I don't??

3. FLU SHOT?!? Did I mention that the flu shot made me sick?!?

1. Ok, so you got me there.

2. She knows because she hears THE voices. You don't know because you don't hear THE voices yet.

3. Hmmm, I did not know that about you but I have heard others say that. Though I never have in the past, I still think I might get one if the opportunity presents itself. I was lucky enough to escape last Winter without getting sick at all but don't know that I can pull that off two years in a row.
