Ok, so I'm only 2 conversations late...

I agree - those cinnamon bagels and the summer salad ar awesome. I don't know about the Chai, but I just can't get moving in the morning with a cup of coffee...

I cant do that. But, DANG! wish I could! Teach me your flexible, elastic ways, Squiddy!

I am in mourning - just paid $1,000 to get my furnace fixed and then they tell me that really I should look into buying a new one. HELLO??? Do I look like I am made out money?
:

No, but perhaps he was hoping you'd like to MAKE some money...:rolleyes1 Layaway plan?

My stuff arrives tomorrow! Woo! No more sleeping bags for me.
Of course, then I realize all the stuff we need and get to have another $1k shopping trip to Home Depot :(

I almost PMP when I read you were sleeping on the dog bed. Yay for furniture!

OMG, Shannon, that is just too cute!!!! :goodvibes

Thanks Kar! I'll be sure to tell him it's juuuust for him!

Brownies? SCONES? (I barely noticed the healthy listings you mentioned).

Ok, here's what I want to know:

What do y'all consider to be a "scone"?
In Utah (and California) a scone is a fried bread dough served hot with butter, honey and maybe powdered sugar, often with a side of hot cocoa. I've had what I'd call a "biscuit" that was called a scone (at tea at the GF). Cultural, regional, societal differences fascinate me.

Jiffy Lube! Not going to touch that with a 10 foot pole.

:rotfl: Good to know I'm not the only one living in the gutter!

The only scones I've ever had were what I'd call a "rock hard biscuit". :scared: -- Rob

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: So THAT's what happened to your teeth...

Panera's is great, they have cinnamon crunch bagels with warm crispy cinnamon on top, they are awesome. The scones are more like biscuits, but the orange and the cinnamon chip ones are yummy. They had the BEST corn chowder over the summer, which I usually had for lunch with their summer salad which had mandarin oranges, blueberries, and pineapple on it and a lovely poppyseed dressing. And their chai is nice and smooth without the black peppery taste that Starbucks has...

Yes!

Wow. I'm not sure what is where...:confused3

(When I thought I "knew" everything, I swear I had NEVER heard it called that!)

:rotfl2:

Ok - did we frighten Judi away? Where is everyone this morning?

Happy Thursday hags and Rob!

Hi guys! I'm here, but leaving in a second to meet Bonnie for lunch. I need to confirm with my own two peepers that she is, indeed, alive!

What's everyone's plans for the weekend? Nothing major here. Trick or treating at a local shopping center for Riley (he likes to wear his costume as much as humanly possible), watching Ohio State game Saturday night... Possibly some tennis.

Hi! Be sure to flog her or something for neglecting us!

I am taking my eldest and a friend of hers to HSM3 tomorrow night, then have a candle party on Saturday, church Sunday, plus "Halloween parties" at Bass Pro and at our church Sunday afternoon, followed by christmas musical rehearsal.

I'm here!

Miss me?

I did - where you been?

No, I haven't gotten points, I'm too NICE to get points!:cutie:

Well humph! If I were a moderator I would give you points just for that statement!

Tell Bonnie she is a hag and to get her wankery toush back over here and post!

Yeah but at least one of us on this thread has ONLY gotten them for a siggy-too-big violation.

-- Rob

That would be me. But zero points. Just a stern taking-to.

Good morning, Wendy! How are you this lovely Thursday?? It is actually looking like the rain has cleared off and the sun might shine a bit today, which is always wonderful!:)

You are is a contagiously good mood today!
And I'm fine, thank you!

Except, I'm DISing to avoid cleaning my kitchen at the moment. :thumbsup2

YAY!!!!
I'm so jealous!
We have "Trunk or Treat" at our church on Sat. with a chili cook off.
MY Riley is 8 and he thinks he just wants to wear a black hoodie and a scary mask, like his big brothers. Which makes me :guilty:

I like tennis a lot! Do you play?

You did? awwww!
I've been here a bunch skimming but I've been mostly WISHing. I have this STUPID goal to get into these size-too-small jeans by the Twilight movie premiere before Thanksgiving. Not being a fan of the camel-toe, I have some serious work to do. Grrrr. I want cheesecake now! (thanks Kristi!)

You so totally should have been a moderator! popcorn:: I can see you unleashing powers on unsuspecting violators.
