How was everyone's weekend? DH was sick, so as you may have noticed, the world came grinding to a halt. (You felt it, right?) I sent his sorry **** back to work today, and can now resume normal life!!!

Still mulling over those pics of Squid spreading her Squid love around the World! A little Police sing-along now:
"Squid-Anne! You don't have to wear that dress tonight... Walk the streets for money, don't care if it's wrong or if it's right. Squid-Anne!"

Yes, I survived Christmas shopping, Round 1. Round 2 may be more challenging. Every copy of Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii has dropped off the face of the Earth. May have to head to the Underworld. How's everyone else's shopping going? STEPHANIE--get your butt in gear lady!!!! Two week count-down!!!!

Jay Loved the pic of your he-bat in the bat cave! He looks nice & cozy in there!

I don't know how it is in Virginia but here, what I love, is that property taxes are due by December 31, along with my homeowners association dues -- why not just pile it on people?

Thankfully they have SOME mercy on us, 'cause our PTs are due in October. We paid homeowner's last month (quarterly), so we're off the hook for that one. For us, this month was unforeseen dentists bills that insurance didn't cover, and stupid money spent on car repairs. It's always SOMETHING though, isn't it? A regular clusterf... nevermind!

Just wanted to share a special picture of little he-bat with you all. I hope you are all doing well. I miss you hags something fierce. Hugs to you hags!!

Those weird shapes on the side of his head are not huge bat ears (ha ha ha) one is the "erased" outline of his arm/little fist and the other one is part of his cord (yes, I had to ask the doctor ).

Now THAT is just possibly the COOLEST thing I've ever seen!!!!!!

Update for all the trip chatters on the trip thread. Shall we start planning the 09 meet now or wait until we get back? Lisa, Shannon and Steph we expect to see you at the next one. We don't expect to see Rob because he will be on the outside peeping in, spying on us. Jay - I expect to see you at this one because everything is going to be fine!

When is the opening because I am a bad girl and haven't mailed out my present yet. Sorry! I am sending it UPS tonight though!

Good Morning Chatters!

Thought I'd pop in and say a quick hello!

People are starting to lose power around here - within 1/2 a block of me - so I can't stay on long.
Dh would shoot me if I blew up this computer in a power surge!
So far we have not quite 1/2 an inch of ice... on everything! The trees are hanging down slightly but all the plants are laying flat on the ground. Unfortunately it's not over yet! We have 12 to 18 hours of storm to go. If it warms up above freezing enough to just rain we'll be fine but if it stays right at 29-32 where is has been we could get another inch. Last time my neighborhood was without power for a week... No power means no heat either. This happens about once every 5 years and they haven't been smart enough to bury all the power lines yet... so it could be bad.

LIKE IT ALREADY IS IN OKLAHOMA! Send up some thoughts and prayers for our sweet Steph. Something like 85% of Tulsa has lost power and they are still covered in ice!! And they don't know how soon they will get power restored. I saw some pictures on the news this morning and they have trees broken in half, falling on homes and cars and branches everywhere. Heaven help them all! Steph... I'm thinking about you hag!

Where is LBelle today? I am feeling very snarky and I need an evil playmate. I see threads like, "Tell me about Tucson" and I just want to say - it's in Arizona. Last year LBelle and I had a great day starting weird threads on a snarky day.

Lisa started the "I want to have a Disney funeral" thead. Which was a laugh and I started the "I hate Canadians thread" which some people didn't find funny at all.
