Hi Lisa we did meet but a while ago. I am not on too much any more. Well...guess you could call it an accident, DH had to hit someones hood(riding lawnmower) right on at 65mph or hit another car. So he went WAM and messed up the car. But no one was hurt except for a few ***** words. The idiot pulling this thing had it the wrong way and it blew off in the middle of the road.

Yep cars are fixable it just scared the dickens out of me.

Hey everyone, I'm very sad my father has been given less than 6 months to live. He has been diagnosed with cancer of the bile duct. I am at a complete loss, I'm trying to keep it together. My mom and dad need me to take care of things, I'm trying to tell my kids without causing too much upset. They keep telling me we should not cancel our trip to Disney at Christmas, but I'm not sure what to do. We usually don't put insurance on our trips but we might have to this time. I am at such a loss, we always thought it would be my mom or DH's parents going first, my dad has always been the healthiest of all of us. I just needed to get this all out, and this thread felt safe. Thanks for letting me get it all out!!!

I'm so sorry!! What a hard thing!

But don't ever give up!
My step father was given 3 months once and they tried one more chemo and it went into remission! He died 15 years later of something else (and very old).

And don't cancel your trip... do the insurance just in case but don't cancel. You really don't know what will happen! By December everything could be different.

I'm so sorry. That is just awful. There really are no words. I do agree with Rella, though. You never know. Doctors never REALLY know. Don't give up hope and I'll keep you all in my prayers.
