The Mad Chatters thread Part 17

Last night we went to dinner with 8 other people (ten of us total) for a guy's birthday. When Brent and I arrived, 6 of them were already seated and they had already ordered a few bottles of wine (which Brent and I don't like and didn't drink) and some nasty-*** appetizers, which ALL contained a liberal amount of tomatoes (which I hate) so I never touched them and Brent had hardly any. We tried to order kinda cheaply, cause Christmas is coming and everything. I wanted a steak but opted for Chicken parmesean because Brent moaned that my steak was expensive. So then at the end the bill is over $500 and instead of splitting the check according to who ordered what (mine and Brent's would have been about $50), they split it four ways for 10 people and give us 1/4 of the bill. So we had to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $120. I thought that was NOT COOL!

Ok, vent over. On with the merriment and mirth.

OH NO THEY DID INT!!!!

There is NO WAY I would have let that happen! That's pretty rude, IMHO!

Anyhoo....just wanted to say THANKS ALOT to you people...keeping me awake ALL NIGHT!!! I even went for groceries at 5:30am!!!!! Nice! Now I've had not one iota of beauty sleep!!!

Which means, if that pattern continues, that the rest of us might have one small, tiny, fraction of a chance of catching up with your stunning good looks!

That's what I understood too-- I was just being silly, silly! (and no, he would not enjoy me in a half shirt-- at least not in public! DH does NOT like people checkin' out his lady!) And then there's the whole issue of me not being a half-shirt kinda woman. I like to be WARM!!!! And classy, believe it or not!!!

We just dropped the boys off at MIL's, and are going out on the town! We haven't had a date night since June, so this is great. Going to meet another couple at Carrabba's, and then we're going to see I Am Legend. May go to a bar after that, if I'm still awake!

Who asked him! So he's the jealous type, eh? Um, it's been nice knowing you Shannon.

Classy? We already have Rella. I'm not sure this thread can handle another classy lady.

Date nights are good things. DW and I went to see Billy Joel in concert about 10 days ago and I can't even remember our last date night out alone. Maybe sometime last Spring? For some reason, people aren't exactly lining up at our door with a great desire to babysit four boys.

Reason: Where's our token male when I need him??????

At the time you posted this, I was at DS9's basketball game but I'm home now. Should I be buying a plane ticket to Toronto?

Definitely a YES!

DH and I went out sans the children on Saturday (shipped them off to MIL's house for the night) which was a fun and rare treat! Went to dinner & a movie with another couple. Good time. Other than that, weekend was uneventful & relaxing.

oh no, we are still here....but seems there are very few of us. me myself, get around all the big threads....love the speed of some of them!. as for me....went to a rihanna concert at the weekend, well actually, most of the concert was siera. rihanna sung about 3 songs....what a good waste of money. lol

Ahhh... The old "bait & switch" routine? I've fallen for that a few times. Once went to see a concert listed as "David Bowie, w/ special guest Nine Inch Nails." Definitely turned out to be the other way 'round!
