Hi chatters! Sorry I missed you Bon. I was being a good daughter and getting ready to go see my bio dad today. I will be trading the Cap'n in for Jose following this visit. Hope everyone is well, especially since I don't have time to read back and see how everyone is. Probably no computer time for me until I get home. This bus is pulling out bright and early in the AM though, so I should be able to chat tomorrow night.

Ok, I'm off to get my hair done. It is sooo raggedy! Then tonight is the Redneck Pot Luck party thrown by the parents of a friend of mine. It's out in the country, and I guess they are gonna have a band and stuff! Sounds fun!

good morning. I have been a total pig all weekend-totally sleeping in every day. It was awesome. But tomorrow is Monday again...sigh. The weekend is always so short. So it is eta 9 days and counting until I take the GRE. I am nervous but I have done practically nothing besides study for it for weeks so I'd better do well by golly!
Hope you chicks (and Rob) have had a happy weekend. I'm looking forward to another long day of doing practice tests on the computer. Oh well it'll be over soon.

Afternoon hageroons! Would you believe I slept until 1:00 today?! BUT...my two youngest were having a sleep over. And BOTH of them came down with the stomach flu (my boys, not the friends...although they can thank us a few days from now I bet). So it was about 1:00 AM before dh and I got to bed and then we heard the dreaded call. We finally got that one cleaned up and asleep in a different room (no need to try and infest the friends on purpose) when about 15 minutes of sleep later, our other son called out. AHHHHHHHHHH!! Tell me things like this happen only once in a lifetime! After up and down and up and down with them all night, it was finally morning and I called their friends' parents so we were able to send the friends home and finally the boys seemed okay and we got some sleep. NOT my favorite night ever!

SO how are you all doing? And I promise not to share germs with you if you will come on out and chat.

Wake up?? I don't think I ever went to sleep! After letting me sleep in (thanks DH), I've basically spent the day cleaning up the mess the boys (DH included) made while I was sleeping...

Tossing the irritating people that derive you of sleep out? Hmmm, that's an approach to consider (although maybe you can only get away with that if you're the wife/mom). I usually end up leaving the room myself and sleeping on the couch or, occasionally, going to the younger DS's room with the two twin beds and crashing in one of them.

Jay -- Ditto on what Shannon said -- hope your kids get well soon before they share it with you.

Hey, Chatters!! I decided to stay home all day long! I took a 3-hour nap and watched some episode of Ghost Whisperer on DVD. I have Taco Dip in the oven and I am stylin!

Minty, good luck with the big fat test! I know you will do GREAT!

Jay, that sucks about the sick kids. I had to clean up some puke on Friday in my classroom and it made me puke too!! Hope they feel better soon.

Fine! No one ever asks where Rob is when the MSN chats are on?!?!? Honestly, I couldn't join in right now anyway. Got to get off of here and get stuff done.

Um, she only snores a little. Actually the way she and the youngest DS deprive me of sleep is by consuming every square inch of usable sleeping space in our queen bed to the point where I can't get comfortable anywhere in the open space remaining in the bed.

We went to my maternal grandmother's early this afternoon to celebrate her 82nd birthday. Even though the family brought in pizza and a vegetable tray and such, she insisted on baking TWO cakes herself as well as macaroni-and-cheese with real cheese (not the powder cheese in the Kraft mix that you add water to).

Well... I never quite get up the nerve to toss anyone out. (too nice I guess??) But I think about it a lot!!! And talk a lot of smack during the day!

Did you save any taco dip?? Love that stuff! And when you guys were chatting, I think I was starting dinner. Made this German dish DH loves. It's really yummy, but if I list the ingredients, you may want to puke all over again!

(Thin round steak rolled up w/ dijon mustard, bacon, onion, and a DILL PICKLE. Yup-- a PICKLE!!!! Roasted for an hour & served w/ gravy. *sluuuurp*
