I didn't know Mardi Gras was a big thing at WDW. I am never going to be able to pick dates for our trip .

I didn't know it was either. It's not in any of the guide books as a high attendance time...but we saw tons of people from Lousiana there. I loved the mardi gras beads they were wearing and even passing out to other guests/CMs but it was busier then the other times I have been in Feb./Jan. Again, not "Jersey Week" busy but busier then normal for a very slow time. I am all about the slowest of the slow. I hate sharing WDW with other people. I think I need a class in sharing!

But really, I will go whenever you are all there. I just have a very strong no vote for myself for those dates. Mardi Gras is best celebrated in N.O. NOT at WDW (for me at least)

Well, lucky for us 2008 has the earliest Mardi Gras until the year 2160. It's the earliest date for Mardi Gras this century. Of course, it is only early next year cause I am thinking of going to WDW then!

We always go the very end of Jan to mid Feb. One year we went to Universal Studios and let me tell you THEY do Mardi Gras up big time. I came home with so many beads, you could not see my neck and the weight was so incredible, I could not stand up...............

I think I am coming alone. However, that could change if dh has to be at some national meeting or something where he will be out of town. But I would know that months in advance and I can get my kids a sitter (I love ALL ABOUT KIDS) for at least a few days and leave them to have resort time while I play with the chatters!
