Too funny!! That Disney DVD Bingo was a hit here last year. "Goofy" (he was 6 then) it and loved it. All of them loved it.

Where did he get to go book shopping?

ds10 liked his ancient coins (except they will take months to get the grime off...they have to soak in olive oil and then be scrubbed with a toothbrush and dish detergent every week and then dipped in peroxide and then back to the oil for another week) and his PoTC legos and his Nintendo ds. Those were all big hits for him.

ds7 liked his Nintendo ds and a Matchbox Yeti set that he really liked.

ds5 liked his Jack Skellington doll that has heads that he can pop on and off and his Nintendo ds.

He has been to Borders and Waldenbooks with his gift cards. The kid could sit in a bookstore all day. He always finds a bench in the middle of the mall to read his new books....it has become a little routine.


I have heard that ketchup is good for cleaning coins. I don't know how true it is....but I thought I'd throw it out there.

The shirt Nick had cut off him in the wreck with Mom. It was his favorite. It was from Hard Rock Cafe in San Antonio. Kim was taking a vacation there and offered to try to find a replacement. And she did. And Santa gave it to him.

I got the lamp that I mentioned. Also got a dinner cruise with DW. An MP3 Player plus some downloads. Also a camp stove/griddle for Boy Scouting.

DS1 favorite was an IPOD - I got it for him, but had my Mom give it to him, because I told him it would be a cold day in hell before I gave him one. He really wanted one and my Mom was going to give him a inexpensive MP3 player (the one I got - which I like :yes and I wanted him to be happy. DW says I am hard on the outside but soft inside.

DD favorite was a Disney MP3 Player.

DS2 favorite was an old star fox game for Super Nitendo. He really wanted a Wii, but that wasn't happening - we convinced him that if he saves his money from Christmas and his Bday (Feb 14th) we will kick in the rest for the Wii for his Bday.

Just went to the movie for NYE - Rocky Balboa. We played some games and watched the ball drop and off to bed. We had a long trip for Mom's Bday (3 hours each way). I also baked her cake from scratch on NYE

These coins are 1500-2000 years old...and just caked in hundreds of years of mud. Ds is so excited to be the first person to see them in so long and he got a CD that has listings of coins so he will be able to id them too. He has twenty of them.

I wasn't in the challenge this week..........I went on vacation to New Orleans. I hear it's going to be good.

Life is a bit difficult at the moment. I'll come through though............it's all good.
