WICKED COOL. Listen to this one, my sister is a Special Education Teacher, has more degrees than necessary but she works NIGHTS stocking shelves at KOHLS. YUP, wicked sad.

I have a BS in Early Childhood Education and am certified to teach Pre-K through 3rd grade. I'm getting my master's in mild/moderate disabilities (Special Ed) and will be able to teach Special Ed K-6th grade. :thumbsup2

My goal is to get my PhD and teach college courses or work to develop curriculums for the schools.

Your sister can't find a job in special ed?????? They are in demand around here....I am going to take extra classes this summer to get my autism endorsement.

WOW, Trisha, that is just so awesome. You must be so proud of yourself!! Awesome accomplishments. You will be FABULOUS with Special Needs children. Not to mention, your actual job, being off when Drew is off, school vacations and summer as well. :teacher:

Trisha, my degree is in Elementary Ed. I don't think I'm going to go back to school though. At least not for a long time.

Kar, how come she is stocking shelves? Does she not like teaching? Some days I think I should do something else too! Of course, I'm teaching Pre-K instead of my usual Kindergarten, so that probably has something to do with it. I'm not cut out for Pre-K!

Trisha, no one will tell her this and she has applied to one million school systems BUT she is close to 400 pounds...I am not kidding you and my family thinks it is her weight that gets her turned down. She continues to do nothing about it other than get bigger and bigger. So now she works nights in Kohls. So sad. :sad1:

I taught pre-k last year and really miss being with the kids. I decided it would be too hard to do my master's full time, work and try to be a good wife and mom. That's why I didn't go back to work this year. We're taking a bit of a financial hit going back to one income, but I think it will all be worth it in the end. :thumbsup2

PLUS, we get to go to WDW when school is in session! :dance3:
