I know JUST what you mean! We went outside tonight and had a silly string fight and popped our poppers and dh lit some fireworks. It was really special...and I know we won't have forever to have that kind of simple fun with the boys. They are growing up waaaaaayyyyyyyyy to fast!

The simple things are always the best, huh.

Wow...we have a Cracker Barrel pretty close. I may have to drag the fam there tomorrow and investigate the candles (and eat some yummy food). How does it smell? Is the smell devine?
Oh great candle lady...please share your wisdom.

The smell is FANTASTIC! I am going to get another one tomorrow. There is no shame in my game when it comes to candles and tarts!

I had my mom and her friend oohing and aahing over it tonight! I said "SHHHHH, close your eyes and LISTEN to my new candle!!" They thought I was nuts......but only until they experienced if for themselves!

Jo, we went to a store last night that had Yankee Candle tarts 50% off for the Christmas scents. I had DH carrying so many that he was leaving a tart trail around the store. He would bend over to pick up one that he dropped and would drop another. It was hilarious.

DS is even into candles....he loves to smell them and pick out new tarts to try! Gotta start 'em young!

I am trying to convince DH to go right after Labor Day. I may be teaching again, though, so we may have to bump it back to December. I want to go to MNSSHP and have free dining...crossing fingers and toes!

I have never tried that one....hmmmm, I'll make a mental note!

This candle smells like pumpkin butter, but it also has very faint wood-like smell to it....I don't know how to explain it.

I went to MNSSHP in Sept. It was the first Friday and it was packed.
People that were there before said they never saw it so crowded!

I had free dining twice in 2006 and it was great and fattening!

I am currently booked for the first week of next December. But if there is free dining in September, I might reschedule. There will be some Chatters there aroudn that time, I believe, if they do the free dining. If they don't have it next year, then I'll stick wtih December.

What a good mom you are! I love candles. Always have. When I was about 14 or 15 my mom and dad got me this lucky pyramid wish candle thing. It didn't smell...but it did have money hidden in it. I am sure that most candles had a $1 bill...but I found a $100 bill and I was SOOOOO excited!
