I'm having Christmas Eve dinner here after Mass, but I don't know what I should fix. There won't be a lot of people....probably about 10 adults and Drew. We usually don't have anything too elaborate, but I am tired of the same old stuff.

We are also having my parents and FIL (MIL is still in the nursing home) for breakfast as Drew opens his gifts. I'm going to make overnight french toast, breakfast quiche and mimosas.

Any ideas for something easier for dinner???????

Trisha, at Target we got a bunch of movies, games for Nintendo DS and Play Station, toys, undies, PJs, socks, etc. The girls are nearly done. I got some stuff online today and we went to the mall the other day. We're poor now!!

What are you girls getting in to tonight?

Well, DH is at a union meeting and DS is watching a Tom and Jerry DVD someone got him for his birthday (he is cracking up ), and I'm waiting for the Biggest Loser finale to come on.

We're poor, too....that's why I have to wait until payday to go shopping! I'll be poor again by Sunday, though!

She is doing OK. She had an appt last week, and they decided not to operate again. She goes back next week for another check up. She doesn't have a hip at all, so she can't do very much except sit in a wheel chair for short periods or lie in bed. She is going to be allowed to come home for a few hours on Christmas day. Barring any more operations due to the infection, they'll probably try again with a new hip in Feb.

Yes...about weight loss. I love watching watching the progression of the contestants from the first show until the last show. Although I told DH that I usually sit here with a snack while watching them eat healthy and exercise.

Hola Primas! How is everyone doing? Speaking of snacks, Trisha...what did you all have for dinner? I still have NOT had mine. I am too lazy to cook anything for just me and dh and the boys are out shopping for my gifts

I told dh to pick me up a salad from my favorite Mexican place...YUM. And healthy too...AND I DO NOT HAVE TO COOK IT!!

Hey Trisha, what about cooking a Boston Butt (Pork Roast) in a Crock Pot. Then pull the meat off the bone and make a nice gravy with Mashed potatoes. It's easy, season it up and put it in the crock all day long. I'm even considering that this year. I'm tired of ham and turkey too!

Hi Jay!!!! YUM....I love Mexican.

I was a big lazy bones in the dinner dept. tonight. DH had somewhere to go, so I baked some chicken nuggets and fries with some peas to go with it. Drew was a happy camper.
