I'm not strict at all (it's going to come back to bite me in the butt), but DS knows I mean business when I get a certain look on my face. He doesn't listen to DH because DH argues with him.

The LOOK is all that's needed most of the time!!! You certainly CANNOT engage in a battle of any kind with kids, IMHO!! NO meand NO, NOW means NOW...end of story!!! It drives me NUTS to see parents 'bargaining' with little kids who are having a tantrum!!!

Awww...you and I are cut from the same parenting cloth, my friend!!! I have NEVER had to deal with a melt down and I truly believe it's because they know it wouldn't get them anywhere but in their room for a little 'alone time'!!! So, keep it up...it's worth it in the end!!!

Awww...you and I are cut from the same parenting cloth, my friend!!! I have NEVER had to deal with a melt down and I truly believe it's because they know it wouldn't get them anywhere but in their room for a little 'alone time'!!! So, keep it up...it's worth it in the end!!!

Well, I'll say one thing on the tantruming. My oldest never did, and I also thought it was because I stood firm.

I stand just as firm on that little one.............but he tantrums just the same!

I think parenting makes the MOST difference, but sometimes personality comes into play too.

OMG!! How did you even think of that one??? I can't stand the smell of syrup. I hate it when they have it for breakfast at school and the whole class smells like syrup.

Absolutely true, Paige!!! I think that all 3 of my boys are sooo different in so many ways yet, of course, I've raised them all the same! Go figure!!

But the cheesy finger thing....really...have you ever been going somewhere, needed a munchie, grabbed a Coke and a bag of stupid cheesies (crunchits ROCK!!) and then when you realize that you have NO PLACE to wipe off that stupid orange stuff, so you're FORCED to wipe it on the car upholstery!!! That can make me angry PDQ, I tell ya!!!
