I've tried scripting my next WDW trip, but only as far as how to start the day, and which theme park to devote the most time to. But it is fun to do. :)
And which theme park won?

As far as overall time spent, it's the Magic Kingdom.

But each day was mostly spent at each theme park, and I had 4 full days. So my first day was spent mostly at Epcot, then around 7 PM, I hopped over to the Magic Kingdom.

Sometimes it is so hard to choose where to go...............we like all the parks for different reasons.

I am in the middle of the happy task of planning next year's vacation time...:):):) I think we might just give DL a try....anyone ever been? Feedback?

Hi Jay!!! DL is nice - not nearly as big as WDW, but you get to see where it started. If you go I recommend that you get the Southern California City Pass - you get 3 days at DL, 1 day at Universal Hollywood, 1 day at Sea World, and 1 day at the San Diego Zoo or another zoo (can't remember the name of the park - its a safari type zoo). Its a great deal and you get to see alot of Southern Cal. The DL hotel is nice, but there is a great Embassy Suites near by. A rental car is a must.

How very true. What makes MK your favorite Walter?

WOW...thanks for the info Cy!! :) Have you ever stayed at the Grand Californian? Or Paradise Pier? I think we want to stay "on site" just cause we like Disney magic...I get that it's smaller...but is the "magic" still there?

Here is the link to the city pass:

Oh and thanks for the info about the pass...that sounds great. Would we want to spend more then 3 days at the two parks? Keep in mind we have happily spent 8 days at 4 parks at WDW... :sunny: I am so excited to be planning...I just want to make sure we "do it right". I think this will be a once in a great while trip...we just love FL...but something different is awesome too! :):):)

I understand that. I have never been to the Grand ($$$$$) I did go over to the Pier, it looked very nice but it is a short walk to the downtown disney area. I have stayed at the DL Hotel 3 or 4 times. It is nice. Last time we got a suite that looked towards the park. Very nice. I am sure any of the properties will be great.

I have met Walter - What's up dude?

How are you paige?

Jay, 3 days at DL should be enough, besides if you do the city pass you will have plenty of other places to visit. If you do the city pass I would get a hotel in San Diego for a couple of nights and consider flying in or out of there and use LAX or John Wayne Airport the the other.

Tell me about it! Especially if you haven't been there in 12 years.

For me, the difficulty is whether to save the best for last or go in the order of the theme parks (MK, Ep, MGM, AK).

Well, we hop and we open one and close another generally. We usually must do MK first and last. Epcot is the one we spend less time at, just because the kids like the others better. We did get to spend one evening there without the little one last time. We LOVE MGM, and must plan an evening there for TofT and Fantasmic in the dark, and a morning to do multiple rides on ToT and RnRC. AK is Little Son's favorite park, and we find it the most relaxing one in the mornings. We get out of there early in the afternoon though, or it gets way crowded.

Are any of the other places close to DL? How far of a drive are we talking? In terrible traffic? Which one is your favorite DL or WDW?

WALTER...Expedition Everest rocks!! Make sure you ride it while at AK! :)
