Just checking in to say that I was unable to run.I've had some hip problems (IT band?) lately. Going to see my ortho tomorrow. Hope he gives me the all clear to run again.
You know what? For some reason I thought the run was going to be this weekend so I completely spaced out. I'll do the 10K Saturday or Sunday - hope that's okay![]()

Had a great time at my 5k. My buddy Cathy and I were joined by a co-worker and her 14 year old daughter. It was a festive atmosphere and a great course.
I think the high point was seeing my co-worker and her daughter finish their first race ever!! They were so excited!!! I think they're hooked now because we have signed up for the Dart Frog Dash (5k at the Toledo Zoo).
Everyone enjoy the warmer weather!

OK, finished the 5K. I guess I could have extended to a 10K but I have not really run much since the half. My time was 27:48. It seems the times are always slower when you are by yourself, I do not run with any music or carry a watch. I turned on my bike computer when I left, and stopped when I returned.
OK, sorry to say still have not done it because air quality has declined further to a current 500 parts per million which is pretty much off the charts hazardous, so post poning further!
Well I found out that its trochanteric bursitis. Its from favoring my right leg when I run. I had an ACL reconstruction on that side about three years ago and then I had plantar fasciitis on the same side about a year ago. So my left hip was taking the beating I guess. One good thing though...I found out that I don't have arthritis in my hips (I AM 53 ya' know)Funny thing is, it only bothered me when I slept on my right side. So anywhooo...I'll probably be good to go (run) after about four weeks of P.T.
