I don't even know what to say Shore  I just really hope things work out for you. I wish there was something that we could do.

Well the weather has gone from yucky to really, really yucky and DD has gone from tired and cranky to asleep. Great. That just means she won't sleep tonight AGAIN.

Shore~sorry about the crabs, the Mexicans and the hitchhiker. Sounds like your day was at least interesting. Good luck marching on the Capitol tonight.

Sounds like I will be staying in and watching the Office with DH and a newly rejuvenated DD...:cold:

DH is heading to the capital now. I know of at least two van fulls of people from my island that are also heading that way.

I seriously cannot wait to hear what's going on because the news just reported that these were the new regulations, and not just proposals.

I seriously won't be able to get out of bed tomorrow if that's true.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Seriously, this is really the pits. I can't imagine how nervous/scared/upset you are right now. Your livelihood (and familys' well-being) is on the line. In this day and economy, it could really be crippling to you. Very scary stuff. I hope things go well tonight and some changes are made to the info that you are currently hearing. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

oh Shore how scary I hope it all works out for you:hug:

Well add me to list of dealing with sick kids. Took DS10 to the allergist and I mentioned the cough he couldnt seem to shake from his last cold. So they take a listen and have him do the breathing tests and he is wheezing:guilty: It settled into his lungs. You cant tell at all he had no symptoms except the cough, I kept asking him if his chest hurt, he would say no, the Dr asked him today and he said yeah a little:headache: So then I had to lecutre Ds10 that he needs to tell me this stuff. So they put the nebulizer on him and now we have to do this agressive inhaler treatments, two different inhalers like 4 times a day and two nasal sprays. I even have to run up to school to do one of them tomorrow. I think I might need to make a spreadsheet to keep it straight.

So please remind me the next time DH tells me it is just a cold, that I need to go with my mommy instincts and call the darn Dr:mad:

So since we didnt get home until late and I still had to go to CVS to get the Rxs filled we did Applebees Curbside

You know, you're darned if you do and darned if you don't. I swear, when I don't take them in when I first consider it, it turns out they should've been seen sooner. When I do decide to head it off before it gets bad, it turns out to be nothing. Can't win.

How weird! My DH has to fast for tests tomorrow as well. I swear he just had them done, but the doc is making him go anyway. Maybe she has bumped him from every six months to every three...he is really bad about his diabetes :sad2: and I wouldn't be surprised if she did this without telling him.
Mine has a kidney disease and cholesterol has to be watched very closely. I'm afraid I haven't cooked very well lately but am trying to change my ways as I'd like to have him around a lot longer. :) He''s supposed to go in every 6 months but I think it's been longer

Shore--keep us posted!
I was a the grocery store yesterday and considered buying crab meat but they didn't even have any from the US (packed in the US, though, I think). I'm gonna have to go on a hunt, now.

Ugh! My son has cough variant asthma along with the traditional wheeze...it's hard to tell when he crosses that line

It's hard to find crab meat right now, because the weather has been too cold for the crabbers to work. Low water temp = lazy, buried crabs, trying to stay warm.

You can find it, but it will probably be hard this time of year.

Shore, sending you more hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Just got back from baseball practice AGAIN. Since one was cancelled last week we were making up for it.
Don't know how long I'll be up tonight since #1DS told me on the drive home from school that, no he doesn't have to be at school at 7:30am for his field trip he has to be there at 7am :headache:So now I have to get up at 6am.

I hope things get better Shore. Stupid government bureaucrats and their stupid regulations. Don't they know people are trying to make a living?

I hope things work out for you.

Sometimes field trips can be a pain in the butt!

DS is going out of the classroom to the YMCA four days the week after next. They're doing swimming safety, which is a great thing since we're surrounded by water in this community. But now I'm thinking -- crap, I've gotta wash his swimsuit and send a fresh towel everyday?

Yeah this is what DS10 has the cough variant asthma no traditional asthma symptoms and then his seasonal allergies, allergic to everything outdoors. I think the problem has been no one in this practice explaining stuff to me until recently. I like the doc we have now. When we first went no mention of asthma just allergies, and then this Dr mysteriously left the practice. We got a very strange letter about it.

Then we were in MGM and DS had a hard time breathing bc of the wildfires but was ok once we got back to the hotel This was our last day of vacation. So we get home and DH and I get bronchitis, then DS10 but I take him and he doesnt have it, go see the allergist, so we go and now they order a chest xray and head xray to see how large the adenoids are. So we see the Dr who is part of the practice but he is only a temp for this office. He tells me on the phone no asthma and large adednoids. Put on Nasonex and watch them.

Then they lose the xrays and so then we see the current Dr and he starts from square one and explains so much more but I really wish they woudl have explained about watching colds and coughs. I asked him if I should have brought him in sooner and he laughed and said are you gonna kick yourself and be all upset. And I say well...umyeah. and he said in that case no it is fine and we will get this solved. No mommy blaming"

So we start the stuff tomorrow and if the cough isnt better by Tues then I have to call if he seems better by Tues we go in three weeks and keep up the treatment that kind of weans itself.

Did he give you an asthma action plan with zones? We love ours...green, yellow and red. Helps us know when to treat ourselves and when to go in. Because of all of my son's stuff, we hit red faster than other kids...it helps to have the action plan available for the ER trips too.

So for a field trip they need to be at school early. I never understood why they do that. Familys have things to do and the schools have no idea how a half hour can mess some up.

Well since we live in a teeny tiny you blink and you miss it town, everything interesting is atleast 30 minutes away. The field trip tomorrow is atleast an hour and a half away. They are seeing a play and have to be at the college early.

Hiya losers. :wave2:

I can't even begin to catch up here. My modem blew in a lightning storm 4 days ago, and I just tonight had time to get it replaced. It's been a crazy week, but all the in-laws have gone home and life is back to semi-normalcy.

I think I'm too tired to enjoy the peace and quiet.

I kind of read back about a page an a half and saw sick kids and bad crab news. Here are some hugs.   If somebody wants to give me a "week in review" type synopsis, I'll bake cookies or something. :teeth:

Ack!! Glad your modem problem is fixed. I just thought you were awol because of the in-laws.

Me too. I started to come check in a couple of times at like midnight, and I would remember that my modem was fried and get mad.

The in-laws kept up so busy. :faint:

Shore, any news yet? When will you find something out?

Week in review:

Lara is off this week. She's been shopping, got snubbed by a store clerk, got her hair cut and colored and she really likes it, took DS to the doctor and had a fishtank incident.

IAHD's daughter had a bday this week, where IAHD made not one but two really cute cakes.

JJ also had a daughter who had a bday the same day. JJ was in a funk and thought his dog was going to die, but the dog seems ok now. He needs a racecar (?) and is wondering why everyone is here.

Shay has returned to work this week, and told boss #3 (the one that she doesn't like) that she won't be helping him unless she has to. She went to the doc...today? yesterday? (can't remember) and asked the doc if she was supposed to be getting dark curly hair, to which the doc replied yes.

Shay's hubby, WardenJohn has joined us, but has been awol for a couple of days, due to something on the military channel he must see for the 500th time.

Tink is also really dependant on caffeine (that's you, right?). She had some kind of argument with her DD (I think) at 11pm one night while fire eater was on the phone.

Fire eater graduates tomorrow, has no internet service, will be staying with someone (his parents) for a little while, but should be back home in the next week or two (again, not sure of the dates). He also was babysitting and took the younger guys to Outback, but it seemed as though they behaved themselves. He ranked 3rd in the class.

MN Football Mommy had a flower pot adventure where her DD was painting flower pots for the grandmothers for mothers day. She was worried when DD started mixing the paints and came up with a poo color, but then they put sparkly glitter on them and they turned out gorgeous.

We have a new recruit, Fraggle, college student with a moldy shower curtain, new puppy, and a hatred for her psych class. We found out from her that cheap vodka tastes better if you run it through a brita filter. I believe that was her. Shay's daughter does this also, and there was someone else who's hubby was begging to try it.

Someone's going to Florida. Someone else is going to Hawaii. I can't remember who they are. Sorry!!

Mkop can't spell her own name right and got a tag to prove it.

TwinMom tried out for Wheel of Fortune, and got to go onstage, we'll see if she gets contacted to be on the show. There was something else that happened with her, but can't remember what it was.....

I think I need some ginko baloba or whatever that stuff is to help me with my memory.
