Georgia red clay! I had a friend when we lived there who thought it was pretty and bought a tshirt that was dyed with the clay. You know what I am really missing about being in GA right now? The azaelas! We just watched video of one of DD's birthdays when we lived in GA. We were outside in sleeveless shirts in March and the yard was pretty green and the trees were blooming. Sigh!

Our azalea blooms are almost all wilted and gone by now. I miss South Carolina. From early March to the end of summer, something was always blooming. My favorite was the two or three weeks when the dogwoods were in bloom..something about flowers up in the air..

Hows everyone's day going so far? I bought a new shower curtain for my dorm because ours is literally black with mold. I was home for 5 days, and how no one thought to get a new one is beyond me. It is past the point of cleancom 10....more like danger zone. I've gotta put that up and stick the old one in a hazmat zone.

Oh thought of another Loser thing today....my mom orders the groceries online and gets them delivered. We live less than 1/4 of a mile from Stop n Shop. I still can't get over that one!

Well, flower pots have first layer of multi-colored paint on them and DD has had a bath as she had her first layer of multi-colored paint as well.

She, of course, decided that mixing the colors made a pretty 'rainbow' color (yeah, if greenish-black is rainbow-ish), so the first flower pot is 'okay' and the other two are horribly beautiful with THAT color. She wants to put a coat of glitter paint on them (Of course! If it's not glittered, it's not done!), so we will do that later, I guess. Maybe it will make them prettier, but probably not. Doesn't matter. The g-mas will love them anyway.

Now, if I could just think of something for DH and I to send...flowers are looking pretty good at this point. I just hate wasting so much money on them. Any other ideas??

When I was little...think 3 or 4...I wouldn't keep my seatbelt on in the car. And this was before the days of mandatory child booster seats and all that. My mom told us that if we did not keep our seatbelts on then the police would take her away.

Well that scared my sister onto the straight and narrow...she cried for days about it. Me...I didn't care one bit.

I was a horrible child.

As long as others are confessing to winnerish activities (like cleeaning toilets and ironing--you know who you are!) I will confess that I vacuumed and mopped my kitchen/entry/and bathroom floors yesterday. And it's been raining so it won't last!

Speaking of red Georgia dirt, we used to go to ZooAtlanta when we lived in SC. They got pandas awhile ago, and what kind of dirt do you think they put in their play area?? Yep, they had the only orange and black pandas in the world. I hope someone figured out to put a "cleaner" dirt in for them, they looked ridiculous..



Today I brought the bathroom up to a cleancom 8 by cleaning most of the shower stall. I stopped when the motorized scrub brush ran out of juice. Waiting for it to recharge, I think it takes about 6 hours..just enough time for a nap..Hey I can't work without the proper tools, can I?

The pandas are so funny! I wish I could see that!!!!


Yeah, I usually nap while my vacuum is "recharging" or I just let it go over night for a good charge!!

Yep. DD is usually slow on her 'projects' so we start early around here. Christmas gifts get started in October, just in case! We also have to ship out of town, so we lose a week with that alone.

Well if they like to garden, what about a gift card to a nursery around them? That way you are still doing flowers, but they can enjoy them a whole lot longer. This is what my cousins and aunts and uncles do for my grandma every year.

Love it!!! I would order everything possible online if I could. I order so much stuff online that almost every afternoon when we pull into the driveway, DD asks, "Did the mailman buy me something today?"

I do this, but I also put Dawn liquid dishsoap in the wash and let them soak for awhile.

How sweet! The glitter is a MUST! I'm not sure about anything other than flowers. My mom is happy about anything she receives. MIL - from the kids-she loves it; from DH & I (or maybe b/c I'm included)-not so sure.
