A little off topic, but I'm reminded of something that happened with my kids:

One time, my brother offered to watch my 2 youngest while I took DS9 to a game. After about 45 minutes, he called & said, "I'll give you $100 if you come get them right now."

DH is back on the road today, so I am still in my jammies. Nothing going on today and the weather outside is grey and yucky, so here I sit. DD and I will be painting flower pots later for the grandmas for Mother's day. No need to shower yet when we will both end up covered in paint.

She woke up three times last night, so when DH got up to leave, I put her in bed with me. I was sick of getting out of bed. Yes, I know that's a "no-no" but the fact of the matter is, with DH and I as her parents, getting in our bed at 5am is going to be the least of her problems. We have WAY more baggage to saddle her with than just that!

For a $100? I did think about it, but in the end, being able to sit back and relax and watch a ballgame without constantly chasing my kids, arguing with them about the concession stand, etc. - it just wasn't worth it.

(Plus, I knew that he probably didn't have the $100. )

When I was little...think 3 or 4...I wouldn't keep my seatbelt on in the car. And this was before the days of mandatory child booster seats and all that. My mom told us that if we did not keep our seatbelts on then the police would take her away.

Well that scared my sister onto the straight and narrow...she cried for days about it. Me...I didn't care one bit.

Baseball dirt is the worst!!!!!! It does not come out. And the idiot who runs little league puts the kids in WHITE pants DS10 wore his brand new pants on Sat, when i got to his game he was in th dugout leaning with his knee in a pile of dirt on the brick wall. I walked over to tell him I was there and I was like WTH? So as soon as he came home I treated them and got them in the wash. Come out still dirty, poured stright bleach on the darn things. A little better but not much. They looked like they should midseason instead of after game 1. He has a game tonight so I am sure I will be cursing tonight when I was them.

And the idiot who runs little league puts the kids in WHITE pants DS10 wore his brand new pants on Sat, when i got to his game he was in th dugout leaning with his knee in a pile of dirt on the brick wall. I have a friend that uses Oxy Clean on the white pants. She does a major 4x the recommended dose of it and soak the pants in the sink. Then she throws them in the wash. They turn out pretty good. Have you tried that before?

Just the oxyclean spray. Drown them and then wash. Maybe I should get some of the other stuff today when I go grocery shopping

Yep--baseball dirt is some special creation of a man (sorry JJ, I know you are an exception) who does not do the laudry!

As long as others are confessing to winnerish activities (like cleeaning toilets and ironing--you know who you are!) I will confess that I vacuumed and mopped my kitchen/entry/and bathroom floors yesterday. And it's been raining so it won't last!

I should be at the commissary getting my groceries now. The fridge looks like we've been on vacation--it's empty! It has been 2 1/2 weeks since I did any major shopping but I am just dreading it. Wonder if I can talk DH into meeting me for lunch and then coming home to work so he can help unload the groceries

Mkrop, I am waiting to see what color our baseball pants will be...Last year they were light grey..This year they have redirted (I just made that word up!) the infields of our diamonds with that lovely red Georgia dirt that y'all have heard about...I am not even going to attempt anything special with those pants, just washing and drying...

Speaking of red Georgia dirt, we used to go to ZooAtlanta when we lived in SC. They got pandas awhile ago, and what kind of dirt do you think they put in their play area?? Yep, they had the only orange and black pandas in the world. I hope someone figured out to put a "cleaner" dirt in for them, they looked ridiculous..



Today I brought the bathroom up to a cleancom 8 by cleaning most of the shower stall. I stopped when the motorized scrub brush ran out of juice. Waiting for it to recharge, I think it takes about 6 hours..just enough time for a nap..Hey I can't work without the proper tools, can I?

I also bagged up all my old clothes that I pulled out of the closet. (that and the boys tshirts came out to 5 very full big black garbage bags FULL) I was going to sell some of it, but apparantly 15 year old clothing is not marketable on ebay. Even Levis weren't selling..easier for me. In the bag, out the door to Goodwill. I have some shoes and handbags that I may sell...or not.

My goal is to get the bedroom up to a cleancom 7 today. I have low expectations, so maybe I will exceed.

What I really want today is a good Pie/Puddin/Troll thread. I am in the mood for a brawl!!

Georgia red clay! I had a friend when we lived there who thought it was pretty and bought a tshirt that was dyed with the clay. You know what I am really missing about being in GA right now? The azaelas! We just watched video of one of DD's birthdays when we lived in GA. We were outside in sleeveless shirts in March and the yard was pretty green and the trees were blooming. Sigh!
