Actually, JJ must be some kind of clean freak, because I remember talking to him one day about how he was straightening his daughters closet so he could vaccuum the INSIDE of the closet.

I think Shay just said something about her and the warden cleaning the den.

All I know, in my house, if I don't do it, it doesn't get done. Ever. At all. DH could walk into the house and not see a speck of floor because it's covered with toys/clothes/games/pillows/whatever, and he'd walk right over top of it, fussing about how this place is a wreck, but do you think he'd ever stop and bend over and pick up that pillow that HIS son threw on the floor? Nooooooooooo, it just doesn't happen that way, and if I tell him that it's HIS house too, and HIS kids too, and none of it is MY mess, and it would be nice to have a little help, then he just looks at me as if I've grown a second head.

Speaking of good intentions...

I got up with DS8 this morning, and told myself that THIS IS THE DAY!! This will be the day I tackle the laundry room AND the dresser drawers AND vaccuum and scrub the floors, AND get the kitchen back to the spotless state that I love, all while being the perfect mom and letting DS3 ride on the vaccuum cleaner and singing "there's an animal in trouble some where!"

Then DS8 got on the bus, and somehow I ended up back in bed, madder than a hornet because the phone wouldn't stop ringing, and I got up to check the DIS, and for whatever reason, I'm still here, DIS'ing and eating mostly melted haagen-dazs chocolate ice cream.

Oh yeah, and knowing with absolute certainty that I MUST do laundry, because DH is out of socks and pants to wear. If it were the kids, I'd say, ah, wear what you had on yesterday, but I can't get away with that with DH.

I was on top of that one already. I was surprised to see her agree about being too clean. Maybe she's a loser at heart.

But the hygiene hypothesis, eating multiple pounds of dirt in a lifetime, and turbokitty's "dirt is good for you" just made me realize that I don't have to clean -- it's healthier for the kids that way!!

Why is it that DS3 always falls asleep RIGHT BEFORE his brother walks in the door from the school bus?

This always happens. DS3 falls asleep. Two minutes later, bus pulls up, dogs start barking, DS8 runs through the door with "Mommy! Mommy! Guess what happened" stories, and DS3 wakes up, and he's grumpy because someone woke him up, yet he won't go back to sleep, so I have to deal with a monster for the next 4 - 5 hours.

I have a black car- haven’t gotten a ticket….yet

My car is in the shop today…So now I am driving an 08 Malibu and I love it! If I didn’t have my heart set on killing the world by getting an SUV, I would consider getting another Malibu!

Diann-I would love to see cops faces when they pull you over in that truck!!!


My house is currently at 5….that’s pretty bad for me….I did clean the kitchen last night, although I left a couple of pans to “soak”(aka-I didn’t feel like washing them)

I have a yellow car and had it broken into.... No ticket yet, though!

Maybe, eventually, she'll get it and realize how superior and judgmental she seems.
