We have been at a 5 but I was bored today and we clean the Den.

What I need to do is have a sock fest. We have 3 baskets of unmatched socks.I need to match them. But I swear if they have no matches this time I am throwing them out. (I have been saying that for about 2 years):rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Buy all white, same brand - no need to even match again!!! Wash, dry, dump in drawer. No lost socks, no pairing up because they all match, one has a hole in it throw it out there's another that will match it :thumbsup2

kellie I was gonna tell you to ixnay on the ockssay because IAHD was gonna lecture you, but she got there so quick I couldn't do it!! actually she's pretty smart, wish I would have thought of this about 200 socks ago..

OK, so DS8 tells me about his day...they watched Alvin and the Chipmunks during reading today. Why? I dunno. Anyhow, he started giving me the basics, and I told him I know all about the Chipmunks, I watched it when I was a little girl.

Yeah, Mommy, but this is the real Alvin and the Chipmunks.

So apparently, my many years of Chipmunk experience counts for nothing.

All I know, in my house, if I don't do it, it doesn't get done. Ever. At all. DH could walk into the house and not see a speck of floor because it's covered with toys/clothes/games/pillows/whatever, and he'd walk right over top of it, fussing about how this place is a wreck, but do you think he'd ever stop and bend over and pick up that pillow that HIS son threw on the floor? Nooooooooooo, it just doesn't happen that way, and if I tell him that it's HIS house too, and HIS kids too, and none of it is MY mess, and it would be nice to have a little help, then he just looks at me as if I've grown a second head.

Ohh, so that's where my DH goes when he's not here stepping over clutter ..he's at your house stepping over clutter...;)

And, that's a good thing.

Bwwwwahahahahahaha :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Speaking of good intentions...

I got up with DS8 this morning, and told myself that THIS IS THE DAY!! This will be the day I tackle the laundry room AND the dresser drawers AND vaccuum and scrub the floors, AND get the kitchen back to the spotless state that I love, all while being the perfect mom and letting DS3 ride on the vaccuum cleaner and singing "there's an animal in trouble some where!"

Then DS8 got on the bus, and somehow I ended up back in bed, madder than a hornet because the phone wouldn't stop ringing, and I got up to check the DIS, and for whatever reason, I'm still here, DIS'ing and eating mostly melted haagen-dazs chocolate ice cream.

The phone was ringing because there's an animal in trouble somewhere! You didn't answer it??

truly, (next to teletubbies and beebahs-sp) the strangest child's program on TV...

Oh, I LOVE Wonder Pets! They are actually HILARIOUS compared to 'some' of the stuff out there! (DD and I quote them to each other: Baby Chimp, take the banana out of your ear!:rotfl2: ) Oh, guess you probably had to see it to understand...

Between their humor and the catchy tunes on the Backyardigans, I am becoming a Nick Jr. robot. Dora and Diego don't do much for me, but I like the others...oh, except when Kai-Lan was trying to get us to count in Chinese the other day. That made my head hurt...:headache: Good heavens, my brain has turned into preschooler mush...:scared1:

Add Yo Gabba Gabba to that list of weird.

Ming Ming on the Wonder Pets bugs me. I can't stand that she talks with the fake lisp thing. Of course, DS2 thinks the show is great. He has a Noah's Ark puzzle. He calls it "animals in trouble".

Yeah...even I can't understand Yo Gabba Gabba...or Wow Wow Wubbzy...:upsidedow

Geez, no wonder DS3 kept telling me it was time to get up. I shoulda been saving the animal in trouble!!

I like the Backyardigans. I miss Blues Clues because I liked that. Dora and Diego are... there. They don't actively annoy me, but I don't find anything to enjoy in them either. Kai Lan is too new for me to know if it will be a winner or not.

We watch Wonder Pets here too. I love the episode with Ollie the bunny in it and everytime it comes on the twosome run to tell me "mommy mommy ollie's on. remember he says she sprayed me the skunk sprayed me I am stinky"
:lmao:

We are the Diego family around here. All Diego all the time. Although DS5 is trying to get me to count in Chinese all the time now. Just when I had Spanish down.

I have something to admit....one of my Marines dropped some candy on the ground today.......and we ate it :scared1:

Isn't there one about a puppy having to pee? this is like one of those shows where college kids get high and watch it early in the wee hours...

You know, if it influenced DD to go on the 'big girl potty,' they could make EVERY episode about an animal having to pee...or poop! I really wouldn't care...as it is, she is not influenced to do THAT but will build a fly boat out of the sofa cushions...hmmm...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: @ eating candy off the ground! Seriously, has no one over there heard of the 5 (or 10) second rule??

Oh, Fire Eater...I thought of you yesterday. No, not like that...(Ugh! Men!)DH and I drove past a local fire dept. and they had a sign out in front of the firehouse advertising their 'same day service!' We got a good laugh out of it!

I only signed up cause the wife told me I would have someone to drinks beers with:rotfl:

Beer!! did someone say beer?!?!! I like beer!!!!! Where's the beer?!?!?!?! I'm going to get some beer!!!!!:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1
