I received another Christmas card yesterday.

It's February. Even I'm not that much of a LOSER to send out Christmas cards more than a month late.

I would just not send them at all, and hope that no one noticed.

I just got a phone call. I've been asked to visit Senator Mikulski's office in D.C. tomorrow.

I don't think I can handle that. I'm feeling much too LOSER'ish to go trekking around D.C. in a skirt and heels, smiling sweetly and shaking hands. And make-up. There's make-up involved. And it's cold. And I'd have to ride the freakin Metro. And walk. In those heels.

The last time I went, I wore my black boots. Pfffft, I had to take them off every time I went to a different building because the zippers would set off the security thing.

So many cons, and not a single pro.

There was this thing last year. I went three times to help Mikulski lobby to pass this bill she was working on. Going around, meeting different Senators and their aides, meeting different Congressmen and their aides.

It's very interesting to see how all that political stuff works.

I love Crab Meat...haven't had any crabs in a few months...hmmmm...I know they'll be from Louisiana, but maybe DH and I need to head over to Kent Island this weekend for some crabs....

You don't even need to go that far!! I mean, the ambiance will be better in Kent Island, but I know a place that's a little closer to you. It's called Joe's Seafood. We don't sell to him directly, but I know he has fresh Louisiana crabs shipped in from the same suppliers as us, and he has pasteurized Maryland crab meat. It's in Severna Park, right on Ritchie Highway. He's a friend of DH's, and I've had their crab cakes before, and they're pretty good.

And I have been getting a few phone calls lately. And normally right at dinner time. What's wrong with those people? They think they'll get my vote by interrupting my dinner?!!?
