Just thought I would pop in. Glad to hear all the birhtday party went well.
I need to know something. My nephew who is 11 is in a play. This is a big thing in our town. They have a childrens threater group that a large group of kids try out for and not many get it. So this year he tried out and got the lead role. So what I need to know is if it was my niece I would bring her flowers after opening night but what do I do for a boy?:confused3

Hmmmmm.....a box of chocolates? I'm not sure...

:goodvibes thanks.
This time of year they have DOVE chocolate long stemmed roses..and other brands that are cheaper. A few of those might be fun.. Or just a big gigantic Hershey bar..

All right ya' Losers...I'm off to bed. Hope everyone has a wonderful night.

How about a congratulations balloon bouquet. Or just get him a little something you know he'd like & put it in a cool gift bag. I have a girl dancer so I just know from flowers. I can't recall what the 3 guys at the studio got, if anything.

I finally got to go to WalMart today. I don't know how long I was in there but the sun was up when I went in & it was dark when I came out. I swear, your brain gets sucked right out of your head as soon as you enter the store. Then you just wander around aimlessly putting things in your cart until you happen to hit up on the checkout lane & get forced out. I even had a list but I still manage to spend a lot of time just looking around.
The good news is that we now have toilet paper in the house. The Kleenex can go back to its rightful place on the nightstand. In fact, all my paper products have been replenished. However only the cold stuff has been put away so far. I'm saving the rest of it for tomorrow. I'm pooped.

There's beer chilling in the fridge & I'm about to go take a nice hot shower (& color my hair) so that I can be fresh as a daisy tomorrow. The kids are clean, nails clipped, hair brushed, all papers signed, & mostly in bed. I just haven't done the "official" tucking in so they're still awake.

I have TWO WEEKS to get ready for hubby's party. And two days after the party his relatives will be staying w/us. They're not so much winners but they always have everything neat as a pin, yet still have time to shop 'til they drop then make dinner. I obviously was not born w/that gene because it takes me a lot more time to get things done. Every holiday, party, whatever, I marathon clean trying to get weeks or months of clutter & yuck cleaned up right before.

I've made my list, I'll check it twice tomorrow. I'm off to tuck in the kiddies then off to color my hair. Wish me luck!

Morning Losers!

I have to work today...I have mixed emotions...blech because it's work and yeah! Because I've been trapped in the house with the kids for four days and I'm ready to loose my mind.

Congrats to Mkrop and hrh_disney_queen for successful parties and to Thats_for_Shore for surviving another hunting season! Congrats to all of us for food in the house, take out or otherwise, and enough TP (or Kleenex) in the cupboard.

Joan

Thank you!

Thanks for your good thoughts today, I'm sure they helped! I got the blank thank-yous at Target. they have a blank for the gift and a blank for the name. can't get much simpler than that. And since we have YET to receive a thank-you note from the last couple of parties we went too, I think it's pretty darn good enough..

One of my guests couldn't come today because he came down with throwing up and feeling bad overnight. DH overheard the conversation and said, "Haven't you heard about this nasty virus out there? It's sending some kids to the hospital from dehydration because they can't even keep down water!" I hadn't heard about it all..not surprising. but DH knowing anything about what's going on is almost frightening..:scared1: I hope your DS manages to stay away from this one...mine too!

I am going to Target today I will look for them thanks

So much for errands. DS5 woke up feeling warm, low grade but shaky and said he is not feeling well.

Poor guy.

I have 10 minutes until I can call the Ped's clinic.:surfweb:

I have to go get DD today too. I feel like I need to go back to bed already.

My SIL is turning 40 this year. My BIL got her, her dream car. It was a 1971 Blazer.:confused:

I have seen a some cool cars in my time but, I can't say that a Blazer ever crossed my mind. What about you?

Nope, not a joke. I just thought it was wierd that her dream car was a 71 Blazer. It was in my email this morning. It said it was her dream car. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Morning fellow LOSERS.
Was having a WINNER take over this morning. Got on a cleaning craze, you know the ones where scrub things in the kitchen till they sparkle :confused3 What the heck has happened to me?
Then while walking thru the living room LOSER whispers in my ear, " hey you never turned the computer on yesterday, why don't you see what's been going on on the DIS :surfweb: & while you're at it why not see if there's a movie on too."
Sneaky little guy sucked me back into LOSER-ville :rotfl: Yeah like it take alot of work to do that.
I didn't do any WINNER stuff yesterday, just spent the day watching movies & cross stitching. Never even crossed my mind to turn on the computer. I know that's bad :sad2: , but now I will spend today catching up.

Hi...taking my "lunch break" but I'm only drinking tea because I feel crappy. The kids have given me their plague. Oh well, at least at work I get five quiet minutes for "lunch".

ok ILs just went over to the school for GP day. I hate having to "entertain" them when DH isnt here, I feel like I never know what to say, and with DS5 not feeling great, he is very clingy to me, and is not giving the GPS much attention. They dont get to see the kids that often so I think they were a little annoyed with DS5. Oh well!

Hello fellow losers! I haven't done to much today, but I didn't have much on my list at least. I have leftover cookie dough from yesterday that I'm going to make when the kids get home from school. Just need to put the dishes away and clean up the kitchen today. And I'm washing a couple loads of laundry. No biggy and it's nice to have a planned low-key day (as opposed to having lots to do and being lazy). The secret is to lower the expectations drastically. :rotfl:

Hopefully they understood that he wasn't feeling well and needed extra mommy time.
